Did we have any sell on when we sold Ugarte to PSG ? I can’t remember, but looks like he’s off to Manchester United
Sporting announced we paid Coventry another 3m euros to reduce percentage owed from 15 to 10% as well as other objectives completed.
Sotiris loaned to Standard Liege Goncalo Esteves is set to join Udinese permanently on a free transfer and we have 50% of a future sale.
⚪️⚫️🏴 Juventus keep working on two new wingers for Thiago Motta after Karim Adeyemi deal 100% off.Negotiations continue for Nico González with Fiorentina, while Juventus have also approached Sporting in the last 24h.Juve have asked for conditions of Marcus Edwards deal. pic.twitter.com/eIEaXOMtYs— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 13, 2024 Romano reporting that Juventus enquired about Marcus Edwards. Honestly I would sell, he seems to have lost his way a bit, and we have Quenda now. We could use the money to finally buy Ioannidis.
Well this one came outta nowhere According to several sources we are very close to a deal to sign Uruguay international Maxi Araujo from Toluca in Mexico (same club where we sold Paulinho) The player is 24 years old and has played mostly in Mexico. It's reported we are paying the release clause which is 18m euros. He has 14 caps and 3 goals for Uruguay. https://www.transfermarkt.us/maximiliano-araujo/profil/spieler/572675
🟢⚪️ Sporting have approached Barça for Vitor Roque as he’s among targets for the final two weeks.Roque, considering options as Everton never sent any formal bid to Barcelona so far.@MatteMoretto 🤝🏻 pic.twitter.com/2qi2yblX3G— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 14, 2024
I’d prefer this to Ioannidis. Leicester have supposedly bid 28 million euros for Ioannidis and for us to match that it would be a lot for someone who is going to play back up to Gyokeres 90% of the time
Matheus Fernandes on his way to Southampton apparently for 15 million + 4 in objectives I’d rather see Edwards shifted, but I’m not against it at that price to be honest if it’s going to facilitate other signings
Yes Fabrizio Romano saying 18m, some other sources saying 20m, it will be around that amount. I'd really like to see him play more as he has quality, but if it means keeping our starters and adding depth in other positions (Ioannidis/Maxi Araujo?) I can understand it. The fact is Mateus is 4th choice behind Hjulmand, Morita and Bragança who are all in form. Essugo played today so he could be the 4th, and Pote can play midfield in an emergency. I'd rather see Edwards moved on, but his transfer value isn't high right now. Hopefully there is a percentage of a future transfer included as I really rate him for the future.
Fabrizio Romano is pushing that we are advancing in talks for Vitor Roque from Barcelona The 19 year old forward cost them 40m + objectives a year ago and already debuted for Brazil, but he only had 14 appearances last season. Any deal would likely smash our transfer record, as it's rumoured it would be a total package of 30M+ 🚨🇧🇷 Sporting are advancing in talks to sign Vitor Roque, while FC Porto are not in negotiations despite selling Evanilson.Total package discussed with Barça in excess of €30m but with add-ons as part of deal structure.Talks continue. 🟢🇵🇹 pic.twitter.com/mERzSUA0ht— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 19, 2024
Official: Mateus Fernandes sold to Southampton for 15M + 5M in objectives, and we keep 10% of his future transfer fee. Good luck to the kid, let's see if we make signings now. I have a feeling a couple more might be sold though (Edwards, Fresneda?)
🚨🟢 Real Betis are closing in on deal to sign Vitor Roque from Barcelona!NO buy option clause, straight loan until June 2025 almost agreed with final details being discussed today.Roque wants Betis over Sporting and other proposals received. 🇧🇷 pic.twitter.com/brTLqCVtOM— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 21, 2024 Looks like the Roque deal is dead. Prefers to stay in Spain even if he misses CL football. Back to Ioannidis I guess? Who I think is always Amorims #1 pick, and Roque was #2
Man I can see us striking out and bringing in a last minute emergency striker on a loan or something....Hope Im way off here.
Exactly. Waiting until the final week to get something done after trying to negotiate Ioannidis for 8 months is amateur shit. Viana is awful at his job. Gonna end up with some scrub..
3 days left in the transfer window, and we still don't know anything about Ioannidis. It seems we are waiting to see if Panathinaikos qualify for Europe this week. If they get eliminated they might be forced to sell him. Honestly tired of this soap opera, 3 months of reading about this guy. Also Maxi Araujo flew to Lisbon last week and still no confirmation that he's joined.
Welcome Maxi Araujo! Our 3rd signing of the summer, he will cost around 14M euros and has an 80M euro release clause. Penalty descarado!!!A despedida em grande para o corrupto-mor. pic.twitter.com/Gh5rFjr7yP— Pedro, Alegadamente (@Jangmeister) May 26, 2024 With this I can see Geny return to the right wing back spot where he shines. Curious whether we will move Esgaio or Fresneda.
Selling Matheus Fernandes was a massive mistake by this front office. Dude has only shown quality every time he plays. Already has a goal and an assist in his debut with Southampton.
Wish him all the best. But not sure who else we would sell for 20m+ (that we actually received bids for). If we could sell Esgaio for 20m it would be great lol With 2 days left and the Ioannidis Greek tragedy seeming to come to an end, the rumours are picking up for younger option, 19 year old Conrad Harder of Nordsjaelland.
Panathinaikos confirmed their presence in the Conference League. In my eyes that kills any deal for Ioannidis. Let's see what happens until tomorrow.
Transfer window is closing for the major european leagues tonight, which is good for us as we can avoid any surprise sales, and its looking like we are keeping our core squad. The market is actually open until Monday for Portugal to buy players, so we actually have the weekend to finalize a potential striker. So far today the only news is Essugo to Las Palmas on loan for the season.
