He still hasn't officially gotten his Portuguese citizenship.

Atletico aren't going to confirm the deal until they're positive he won't take up a non-eu spot.

Depends on what he wants. América is a better team than those two, however, if he comes to Mexico, he's most likely never going back to Europe. If what he wants is to bet on himself to revitalize his Euro career to later jump back to a better league, those two Greek teams are fine.
In the end, if he fails there, he'll still get offers in Mexico unless he gets a bad injury.

I think to revitalize his career he needs to go to a team in one of the five big leagues (EPL, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue Un or Bundesliga) Hes done well in Spain, Espanyol wanted to keep him but Porto was selling him too expensive. Reyes needs a Europa League level team to show what he can do which is play as a CB or DM with skill and intelligence. He needs to work on his long range passing which is a huge asset for teams these days.

That would be ideal, however, I don't think a team with said characteristics will go after Reyes now. Not since it's been a while since Espanyol so a team like Olympiakos or AEK is the next best option in Europe.

Olympiacos plays champions consistently not to mention if he goes there he’ll likely have a shot at winning a Greek super league cup. Much more exposure to make a jump out of there to a solid Euro team or even back to Mex for more money. Look at Pullido. AEK just played in the Champions league so not bad options at this stage in his career.
