As I read through the Spanish transfer news, 95% of which entails Barcelona or Real Madrid, I note that too many players want to play for Barcelona. Is it the weather? The money? The lifestyle?

Barcelona can pretty much get whomever they want provided they can negotiate around the financial cuffs put on them by UEFA and the Spanish federation. But the players in demand one season are then cast off in the next or following season as they seek to bring in the next "Flavor of the Year" players.

I think they had moved on until Williams reached out and made it clear he wanted to go after turning them down last year. Williams is good, and from a squad building perspective its better to have 22 year old Williams and 28 year old Raphina rather than 28 y/o Diaz and 28 y/o Raphina likely to age out around the same time. It's logical, but there's still a slim chance they really want Diaz and are gonna use Wiliams to smoke out Liverpool.

Last time that rumor surged...."man God no"..
    Today it seems better :)

Ligue 1 is probably not much better than Brazil though but CL>Libertadores.

Well if Aston Villa is one of them just take him back.
Duran is a VERY complicated individual. He needs a father figure like Emery, that even gave him the 9 shirt after he screwed up and flirted with West Ham. Also speaks spanish so they understand eachother.

If Liverpool can hold onto Diaz and they have a plan of Diaz Wirtz and Salah front line that could be spicy.

We shall see about his mentality.
I do know that out of all our Sub 20 guys he has a very unique and interesting skill set.
He is not really a 10 but does have some 10 abilities and skills. Good passing and vision.
He is not really a winger but can play out there if necessary. If Barrera can show some maturity and mental toughness going to any new league then maybe he can be the one that you and others around here will like most. He is one of the few potentials who can lead us to playing more of a modern game instead of relying on 10s to save the day.

Is Barrera related to el Pibe?

Hope he does well and love to see teams scouting directly from our league. I dont care what their transfer fee is as longs our team gets all of it. Just hope the teams are smart and invest well.

also these transfers will make teams not go for so many older foreign players and give their youth players a shot. Euro teams want U21 guys. U23 at the oldest unless they are NT starters

stop sending these dudes to fking MLS

I think he's related to Jarlan, a lazy fat boy who's at Cali now.

I believe Jarlan is somewhat related to Carlos. I cant remember anymore

Jarlan is second cousin of Valderrama.
Not sure if Jordan is related.

Jarlan was very talented but let the wrong people get to him. Signing for two clubs and not expecting any issues still blows my mind.

He was a shit head that thought he would be the next James or better. Still hasn't got his head right and his career is almost over.

Duran should be sent videos of Barrera, Miguel Ortega, Daryo, Pino.... and told Talent alone isn't enough bro.... tho Duran has more money than all our previous players minus maybe Falcao and James. So he probably doesnt care

I would love it. I wish his price was cheaper, would be easier for teams to be interested

Bayern have lots of people on their list though. So I think he's one of many, others are Gakpo and Leao, Nico Williams

Yeah I think Liverpool have to make a sale after such huge spends this summer and the list is short when you consider no one is going to pay much for Darwin. It's down to Gakpo or Diaz and Gakpo is younger and they'd have to give Diaz a big contract to keep him, I think they've been playing coy which isn't surprising as they're very good in the transfer market. Problem for Diaz is that Nico went out of his way and took risks to get back in good with Barca, and that's why you can't play nice with these clubs, they'll sell you out in an instant.
