Last ones are unreadable. I just read that LFC wouldn't lower the price of 80M which I think is great. Then they have to raise his wage to a decent level, otherwise it wouldn't make sense. Would be bizarre if they ask too much for his sale but still pay him too little if he stays.

last one is just confirmation of what we all know

they need to create room in their budget to afford him and right now they are not at the point.

However, we are only in May so that can change with sales.

its the opinion of a journalist, if Deco is hell bent on him then im sure they already have a plan in place to make the deal happen, however that may be

Diaz will have to demand to leave and force a decent price for this to happen I think and the fact they haven't updated him and let his wages remain so shit might be grounds enough to say you got a discount already. I think 60m is probably the price to get this done and I'd guess about the highest Barca can go and even that is relying on them making some moves to do it. It's why I'm not sure it'll happen, I'm not sure Diaz is willing to play hardball to push the move and Barca simply cannot pay 80m for a 28 year old.

My guess is they are leaking the stories that Barca are dead set on Diaz to push Diaz to not sign a new contract and get him to buy into demanding to move since that's the key detail to get this done. Barca feels like the only situation he would do that, Nunez leaving after not being treated amazingly may help him move, I hope he's cut throat because Liverpool would be cutthroat for their interests and didn't hand him a raise when he deserved it.

just want to bring up that the fact that a Dani Olmo sale to Manchester City should help fund the move.

if they paid 50 million for a 33 year old at the time (lewandowski) I don't think 80M for a 28 year old is too much. Anyway since I want him to stay I'm not that bothered by his price. At least in liverpool we know that he will do well, anything can happen in Barca. My dream is that he stays and scores the winning goal to eliminate Barca in CL :sneaky:

I think its fine either way, but Liverpool have som big problems in the next few years to update that squad and their rivals are mainly already re-tooled with a younger squad and more players in or reaching peak ages. They lost their best young talent in TAA, Salah and Van Dijk are likely to drop off a lot, Robertson has to be replaced and Alisson too is only a few years left at his peak.

Everything seemed to fall into place while Slot and Liverpool took advantage of some top teams being down.
I am not sure there can be sustained success there like Klopp.
Reminds me of America football coaches who win with prior recruits from the previous regime.
It is fine and dandy until the wheels fall off.

Barcelona on the other hand look like they are going to be very good for a very long time. Great young nucleus of talent and decent tactics.

Yeah I think alot of things went well, and clearly Liverpool were very good and well organized, but alot of unknowns with the squad whereas Barca with Yamal and that nucleus look like the best stocked club out there, and their financial woes will be gone within another year once they are in the new stadium.

Went down the X rabbbit hole and Barça fans just don't seem excited... got people like this one- whom needs to be trolled after Diaz scores on Barcelona..
Reminds me a bit of Atletico fans calling Falcao a 'cafetera' when he signed with them

And what happened when Falcao played very well? He became a legend.
Even got standing ovations when he played for Rayo against Atletico.

Who cares what some CrzD fans say online prior to a transfer.

Barca fans also have PTSD from the previous board going broke signing Coutinho, Dembele and Griezmann who were all way over priced and a terrible fit, so I understand that panic on paying a big fee for Diaz. Alot of fans were pissed about the Olmo signing for 60m last year, and many still aren't super happy but Flick starts him whenever healthy and trusts him and he's done well, as long as Flick wants him and sees his value Diaz will get trust and patience which is all he needs to succeed.

This is where I'd say that fans from Madrid and Barcelona are similar.

It's fine though, the board don't base their signings on public opinion

Also their criticisms are based off of goals. That's it. It's like asking crzd to analyze a player for you or a child born in 2005.

Honestly Barca are very likely to have dominance if Lucho can be that experienced vet to help balance out the talented youth.

Comments like that make me miss the time women didn't watch football to quote her stupid answer.

Well as I said before If at least Flick said something nice it would be a different story but I've only read that he "approves" the signing, not that it's his idea. Like "ok if you insist I guess I'll have to take him"

We knew about Porto because it appeared on o jogo. Big portuguese outlet

Also, keep in mind, the fact that we hace so much info coming out when the transfer window isn't even open yet is important
