It will be really nice following Hull after the WCQ. However I don't really get how the transfer was made. Isn't the deadline day for championship the same as the one for EPL?

he was a free agent on trail at Ipswich then Genoa. So sucks he went to Hull to compete with another Colombian. They seem similar type players

Yes Puerta is only there on loan so I guess they will prioritize Alzate. Alzate seems a bit faster but Puerta looks the better player. But Puerta has hardly been seen in Europe, his whole reference is the u20. So Alzate will probably adapt faster.
Hope the idea is for them to play in different positions though.

If they're both not starting it would be a big surprise. These are big gets for a championship team, especially one that hasn't done that well. Alzate can play as a 6 or an 8, Puerta seems firmly an 8 so it shouldn't be a problem both of them playing.

I guess it's good that the brasilian league is getting better. We need at least one league in south america that is more or less on par with a european league. Sure it's going to take years before they get there but they probably would need less money to do it in south america than in saudi arabia, given our history.
With that said I still want Arias and Rios to GTFO in january.

Honestly I am glad that we're not gonna hold him like how Leverkusen did with Puerta wasting his time lacking real playing time.

to be fair he wasn’t courted by us and the u20 coach at the time said him and Poveda aren’t Colombian.

him now in Greece don’t think he is an option for either of us. Over rated prospects

really hope the 10m spent was more 2-3 random U20 players who also were shit.

Beter late than never; at 27 he needs to make the most of this chance should a decent team pick him up.

Rumors in Milan are coming back for Rios; AC Milan is seemingly intending to submit a real bid this winter.

he was a confirmed target for Milan already but he wasn't a top choice because the club preferred Youssouf Fofana from Monaco

Hope some other team asks for him too. I saw they benched Ugarte and let Casemiro in the starting lineup. I thought Ugarte was meant to replace Casemiro. If both these players are still in the team it could be tough for Rios.
