These offers are lower than the Rennes one. And the greedy agent of Asprilla got upset with that deal and even mocked them on instagram. At this point I don't care where he goes as long as he manages to sign without these clowns screwing it up.
So I saw that Pipe Sierra is claiming that Porto has the highest bid in for Yaser and Girona will have to beat theirs but neither has matched what Rennes were offering. I really don't understand what Herrera's game plan is here - how can he expect Watford to take less so that he can take a bigger commission and what would Asprilla stand to gain from that outcome? I think either Porto or Girona would be great.
Personally I don't want him in Porto. The guy has been in championship for 2 years and with the exception of a few teams, the Portuguese league wont do much to develop him further. Porto's best exposure is they play Champions or ELCup and they do a great job at polishing players for the next sale so he'll get plenty of playing time. Girona would accomplish a similar goal in development but he would be playing CL this year and in a much more competitive league. Let's be honest, Girona overachieved by a huge amount last year. So long term it's not the best club fit but for the next 2-3 years I think it would be a solid fit. And of course that stupid agent will eventually have to take a lower bid with a lower commission.
Yes I have the same feeling. Especially the lower half of the table they have better teams in Spain than in Portugal. I hope that they won't solely look at the price but also the other things you mention. But according to reports Porto is the highest bid and they want Girona to match it. I get so irritated when you get some good news and you think that this is it, then just hours later a new bid comes in and you have to start all over again. But I guess that's how it's going to be these last 2 weeks. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he doesn't get sold until last day of the window. I got pretty surprised when I looked at Gironas squad that they had reached 3rd spot with those players. But I think they sold some important ones as that Ukranian striker. However I don't think Yaser will have trouble getting playing time there.
Giron plays champions league this season and is in a much better league. They also won’t make his release clause insane like Porto would. They are owned by City so maybe he can go there if he becomes world class
You have to be kidding me.
Man this is the worst case of scum agency I’ve ever seen and that says a lot given the nature of that business
Well it sounds like Watford want nothing to do with him at this point so one way or the other he'll be sold somewhere
I wonder what the plan was from the beginning if these people knew about the others existence. Did they all think they had exclusive rights? Had he planned on paying comission to 2 different agents? Twice as many fees? or is it a misunderstanding that he would only pay for the agent closing the deal. Seemed strange with 2 different agents visiting the same club.
Watford wants the money and they also like the player. But it's tough to line-up someone who at the end of the day has a half-foot out. That's not really fair to the club either.
Hablaré con él, y veré donde está su mente”📻#ElVbarCaracol pic.twitter.com/ANAQ58XSzF— El VBAR CARACOL (@VBarCaracol) August 15, 2024 Seems like they want him to play but with his luck he'd probably pick up an injury to put the final nail in the coffin.
ok so if they can't sell him then Tom Cleverley will play him. Originally it sounded like they were done with him
I don't know what he's got to gain by playing. Nothing! Either he'll pick up an injury, or he'll play being so afraid of picking up an injury that he'll have a poor game. Potential buyers might watch it and draw the wrong conclusion. He shouldn't play until the options of being sold are completely dead and the window is closed. Seems like he wants to be friends with everbody at the same time and that is why he is in this mess. He shows up and makes the watford team hopefull that he'll stay, and maybe he has treated his agents the same way. Indecisive and confusing everybody. Just saw Betis draw Girona. Seems like they are going to get a good season this one too. Would be a damn shame if he couldn't go there. Hope Arias goes there in that case.
Yaser should absolutely NOT risk injury right now. Playing this weekend in Championship if he is going to try and move is just dumb.
Girona play really well and are in champions league this year, they also got big moves for some of their best players last year and need guys to fill those roles, would much rather an attacking side in UCL like Girona then a relegation fight in the EPL.
Not related but Flamengo are offering 25m for Carlos Alcaraz. Most expensive signing in Brazilian football history
Now they claim the delayed presentation of Gomez is due to "administrative problems" and that they have different regulations in france and MLS. Great. Seems like a joke all problems to close a deal. But hopefully they can sort it out. It can't be the first MLS player that signs for Ligue 1. They must have some idea how to do it.
Not the best team or league but I'm really happy anyway to recover this player, so we can perhaps push Uribe out of consideration in the future call ups for the NT. I would almost have preferred blackburn in championship than this but with all the problems to close the deals regardless of the player almost I'm happy if this gets done.
