Yup. I have a degree of hope there may something going on that's not being reported but it seems like teams prefer others

Twice in a row with the same team and player would be some sort of accomplishment

It's unclear if this guy just came back from vacation and was posting old stuff but is being taken as new news because it's The Athletic/NY Times, ha!

But in France they seem to think Rennes upped their offer yesterday so maybe something to it.

or maybe Tomas isn't that good. I remember you were always waiting for the offspring of former stars to be the next big thing... tough shoes to fill :)

Honestly speaking, market is really crazy if a championship player is worth 28 million Euros.

I think Tomas is marginally MLS or FPC. He has some quality but I don't think he's fast or strong enough to be anything special in either league.

funny enough, JPA also wasn't fast or terribly strong but he was always at the right place at the right time. His time in Argentina helped polished his finishing skills + work ethic and professionalism were always on point.

JPA is taller (6'1") than Tomas (5'9") and was way stronger from what I've seen. He also had the build of a true 9 and a knack for finishing. Tomas is faster than JPA and has good moves without the ball, but there's a reason he's becoming a journeyman, despite a decent youth career. Not every kid can become a successful player even if they have the right genes.

Marseille is De Zerbi, they are making some very good singing this summer and I think they see Mbappe leaving PSG as their chance to really challenge in that league and I think it's a great strategy. Sucks they don't have European football to offer this season, but I think they will be an exciting project and De Zerbi will make players better (with Thiago and Califiori leaving Bologna is also gonna be in a difficult position)
