Gomez is gonna be gone pretty soon I'd imagine he's on 220k a year, that's not even close to being rich living in Salt Lake City. Hopefully he pushes after the MLS season is over for a move, the guy has big potential and is 21, and 15m with his profile is very cheap these days in alot of Europe.

MLS Media is reporting there are "several Euro clubs interested" so it could be pretty soon if they are not exaggerating.

not really what MLS player has made the jump and a difference to command that fee? Most of the top US players are foreigns with a US relative or part of a youth system.

its like the Mexican league when they asked crazy money for guys. Its

    A. Most team outside the EPL are broke
    B. Your league sucks
    C. What big player went from your league to become a stud?

In Mexico it was usually they had the non white South American NT starters who couldn't get work visas or teams didnt want to give them a chance because of limited non EU roster spots. They would get purchased but more

wish Dep Cali would stop sending all their prospects to the MLS.

Alphonso Davies, Miguel Almiron, Ricardo Pepe all went for 20m+ 2/3 of those transfers were good players. Our own Jhon Durán went for 18m and after 1 season is likely going to get a transfer for 30m.

Like it or not the MLS is in the mix now, our players have shit representatives and the MLS is a viable route to get exposure and make a jump, its not ideal but the MLS as league has gotten better and attracts much better talent these days. Young players who can put up the numbers that Gomez are in MLS with the obvious skillset he has command solid fees, teams are always looking for athletic wide attackers who can beat players 1v1 and also have an end product, that is rare at 21 and I wouldn't be surprised if he goes for 20m.

No one is paying 100 for this guy, a shame but I don't think he's going anywhere

I just don’t see him staying. It’s the perfect mix of talent and price. Rios even at 20 million is a low risk high reward type of deal. They’re playing hard ball because he’s probably the hottest thing coming out of South America and they know it.

hope they aren't dcks about it and then end up sending him to Russia or Ukraine for half that amount

other news how likely is it Kevin Mier goes to Brighton? I see they have a pretty young GK so hope they aren't dropping 8m on him to not give him a shot at #1.

ridiculous and bad business if that's the case. It's such a turn-off.

it's not so much the asking price as much as 'moving the goal posts'. If that's the case, few clubs would take Palmeiras seriously. They've been in this business far long for this story of 100m Euros to be true. While MFs are prized, top $ usually goes to the players that can score at will or set up the man that can score at will (AMF, ST, FW). For a box to box MF, DMF like Rios he would fall into that 2nd tier of greatest need so that's why I think it's BS.

Put it to you this way, they sold Endrick to Real Madrid for 47.5 million Euros. We're talking about Brazil's hottest player at the moment and he's only 18. So no they're not selling Rios for 100mil but some of these social media feeds get under my skin!

Even if at 20 mil Euros it's damn good business for Palmeiras.

    They’ll sell him for 20-25

the 100 mill tag is just to push for a higher bid

I think they got a few clubs on the hook and once one of them is Man Utd they getting greedy, United is known to overpay, maybe they get them up to 35m if they can get a bidding war.

So Fluminense have signed a guy called Kevin Serna to their team. Many speculate he is a direct replacement for Jhon Arias

That Serna guy is pretty good from what I have seen in the Libertadores. Not as good as Arias though but still dangerous.

Funny thing he is a Colombian too but he is going to play for Peru.
