Just please let him end up at Atalanta or BvB. This would be the ultimate tease at this point if neither comes in for him!

It's really irritating that it's been too quiet about Luis Diaz. He should be getting rumors surrounding him for his amazing Copa America.

I understand the sentiment. But you got to also realize its still pandemic times and clubs(suitors) are hesitant to Splash cash right away. Luis diaz to us deserves to move on, but from outside perspective, There are question marks as his FC Porto 20-21 season wasn't spectacular, average maybe average best.

You and I both know that the pandemic won't change clubs minds about signing a player when a lot of these clubs who have been in debt despite seemingly spending lots of money without hesitantation; as long as they feel that the investment is worth it they'll splash out cash if they felt like it.

Now I can understand by how his season went being the reason but even then the argeument goes back to how a club behaves and will snatch whatever talent they feel that they can get.

Keyword a while ago. My issue is that we haven't heard of anything to the point where he's last week's news (right over 2 weeks).

I would be more patient/satisfied if we had some damn consistency with the amount of players that we have flowing not only into good clubs but better leagues as a whole; having Diaz go to a big club is a catalystism that is needed for Colombian football. This because other clubs will turn their attention to our players which in recent memory has not been too promising when the newer generation isn't getting recognized like our current and older one.

I think it's wrong that Colombian football is forgotten and fallen from grace yet again during these times. Hence why I value these youth tournaments that occur in South America where more attention can be shown and attract clubs into bringing our players.

The more competitive our options are, the more moviation this affects the players when they realize that the national team has options.

Stuff like this is why Brazilians thrive.

As I said in the Diaz thread he was not even a starter in Porto.
That could be the main reason Major Clubs are not doing a public bidding war for him.
They may see the Copa America as just a nice little streak of good games for his Country but want a bigger sample of what he can do as a starter for his club.

Considering how he plays for Porto against big teams and seeing how he did this in the champions league I say he gives a clear idea.

After all, if clubs looked at young talent that typically gets less playing time than a older starter who's to say that they wouldn't carry that mindset knowing of what they themselves can do with a player like him with real playing time?

It is all about consistency and in the second half of the season he was riding the bench a lot.
You seem frustrated but there are reasons not to be.
If he stays at Porto and has a great season as a starter then that will be great for him.

The guy might as well just renounce his citizenship of nobody. Cause he will never play for Colombia.

Maybe if he seeks asylum in some other country. The Colombian Edward Snowden.

Wow. Agreed. Disgrace. Riquelme stuck by him and this is how he behaves? Probably thinks he can avoid extradition in Belgium...

Some context though boys. it's all business but at some point, if you keep moving the goal posts these guys are just going to pull away. He's as close to 'baggage' as you get it and probably just wants a clean slate, although he surely doesnt deserve one based on all his drama.

If I were Boca, I would take the money and RUN away from Villa.

For sure, but Boca could have left him in Brazil after he embarrassed them the other night...

And he probably wouldn't have a career right now if Boca hadn't stretched the limits of morality and let him suit up with his legal troubles.

(I don't think Boca's enabling of this dude's behavior reflects well on the org, btw)

I agree that if I were Boca I'd cut and run myself too.
