These are all good options really. Sassuolo might be the best situation if I had to pick one to hope for, get him into Italy and the chance to attack, Italy and Germany for all our strikers to get them firing. The other options might have more of a spotlight, but I think generally they're all pretty good attacking teams who try to play the right way.

Newcastle would be a bad move for him, Milan would be good for sure. That price they quoted seems insanely low for him, if he goes for that price its going to look like a robbery in a few years.

Barrios is just a much better more influential player, but really Lerma is not a CDM like Barrios who can play as the sole holding mid in front of a back 4 but that should be better for Barrios because there aren't as many guys with his ability out there.

Newcastle is mid table at best right now and are too defensive and play too much out of possession. Barrios is really good in possession and is best suited in a midfield 3 with 2 8's were he can sit and distribute and break up play, ideal for a team that is usually going to have lots of possession. Newcastle although they played more attacking when they moved to a 4-4-2 at the end of the season generally speaking doesn't seem like the ideal fit, he would be great at a bigger club in England, honestly he'd be a good fit at United as an upgrade over Matic, or Chelsea if they sold Jorgino and Tottenham really need a player like him too.

I just don’t like the EPL. Newcastle could be a good move but if it’s Milan or Newcastle you know everyone is more excited if he goes to
    Milan

honestly as long as he plays then I don’t care where he goes.

Lerma cost 30 million when he went to the epl. So his price is higher tho no none epl team going to pay anywhere near that.

club wise I like what I see when Lerma plays better than Barrios. But on the NT Lerma has not been very good

Please tell me how many Zenit games you've seen lol, Barrios was flawless in multiple champions league games this year for them. There is no argument at this point, Barrios for NT and for club is way ahead of Lerma who although he's good and serviceable isn't anything super special.

I can’t really recall any bad Lerma performances on the NT.

Barrios is just the better fit - I hope his club career can go to another level once he leaves Russia.

I can't recall any good ones. Except his debut where he played RB...never again have I thought he has done enough to continue earning unquestioned call ups...

If im not wrong he got an assist against argentina and played well that match...

But i agree....he have been average-ok.....campuzano and alzate easily can leave him without an spot in the called ups... if they play again with regular minutes....

Yup. It's a blessing to have a solid back up. Having a player with Barrios's ability should free us to be more aggressive with the midfield and have a more balanced side...

he's an established guy in mexico so they aren't going to sell unless they get offered a lot of money or the release clause.

The copa America game against Argentina, he had the assist that made the game 2-0

I want to say he played well against France in the friendly prior to the World Cup. I think he laid out Pogba at one point.

In general, I don’t think any Lerma call up prevented someone else that any of us were hoping to see??
