Ah ok, this I would be ok with if he gradually gets time coming in off the bench and then becomes a long term option
I see now that Cagliari picked up Andrea Belotti who is very clearly on his last legs at this level. Between Belotti and Salvatore Esposito at Spezia, which player would have been less expensive? Dunno. Just seems to me that if I was a DF I would prefer to have Esposito instead of Belotti. With Gallo, I know precisely what I'm getting. Salvatore Esposito less so but he could have a breakout season OR at worst perform like Gallo.
Spent a couple of minutes on another site on Liverpool spaces. A few are bemoaning not being to pick up Crystal Palace's CB that they have been linked to for 6 Weeks. Many feel they are light in the back with a full schedule this season. I think Leoni can get over 700 Minutes across all competitions this season. They will be right ********ed until January if VVD or Konate get injured and if Leoni can't perform. I'm still smarting at Savona's sale. FML.
I am still a bit depressed how things turned out for Baldanzi. I hope Gasp can give him some opportunity.
🚨⚪️🔴 EXCLUSIVE: AZ Alkmaar agree loan deal to sign Italian centre back Andrea Natali from Bayer Leverkusen.Deal in place as Natali will have more game time, agreement done between all parties now. Here we go. 🇮🇹🇳🇱 pic.twitter.com/2Z9pcL1UPo— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) September 3, 2025 Massive fan of this kid. Hope he can continue to flourish with more playing time on the loan spell.
🚨 Manchester United are considering a move for Al-Duhail midfielder Marco Verratti. The 32-year-old would be prepared to leave Qatar and move to the Premier League. (Source: @Fichajesnet) pic.twitter.com/ikgixf1XZq— Transfer News Live (@DeadlineDayLive) September 6, 2025 This would be something.
Incidentally, Insigne never did find a club. There was talk of joining Parma but it didn't happen. He was getting paid a pretty penny in MLS and all he had to do was give it an honest effort but instead chose to pack it in and embarrass himself.
It was revealed that Chiesa refused a transfer to Besiktas in recent days. I think he should have taken the deal
If this happens I will buy a kit. a midfield of Verratti Tonali Barella could win a world cup I don't care who else is playing.
I am praying we can get him back playing competitive games and in the mix with the Azzurri. Would be amazing.
It is unfathomable to me that Chiesa is not playing in Italy in what is the prime of his career. while he is benchwarming in England
At this point he should have just taken wtv he can get. Playing weekly in Turkey > warming the bench in England
Not an Italian player but rather Andre Onana. He left a UCL Finalist, Scudetto-winning side Inter for a supposed upgrade at ManU. 2 disaster seasons later he has been shipped off to a mid-table Turkish team. While I prefer Verratti to play in the EPL over Qatar, a career-killing club like ManU is not ideal. Anyhow, for me, Verratti would have to be extraordinarily good to get back in the setup. Tonali, Locatelli, Mandragora all ahead of him. Maybe even one or two others.
