Torino has now intercepted the move for Liberali and wants to acquire him. I don't know what to make of this move. I hope he doesn't rot in the bench. Torino does have history of trusting young players, look at Buongiorno, Ginetis, and Casadei, but I can also see them not playing Liberali.

He would be Vlasic's back up in this case.

Udinese is close to selling Thauvin to Lens. This will open up a hole in the Supporting Striker position or their trequartista which I hope Pafundi would fill.

Probably not, but one can only hope.

Torino felt that Catanzaro were getting a steal here so kudos to them.

For me, I like Torino wanting to intercept.

Now, of course I want Liberali to get minutes. But if Torino are interested in a permanent move, then I think it means they really are interested and see him in their plans.

Sometimes with the loans to Serie B, even when the players get great minutes in Serie B, they just get ping ponged back to their parent club and into another Serie B team the following season(s). So, in between the lines this could be Torino saying "ok, we might have a chance here to transfer Liberali into our squad if Milan have made it clear they're going to loan him to B, likely for successive seasons"

Now I am not against getting minutes in Sere B but to me this is promising both ways. Milan wants him to play and Torino are noticing an opportunity for their squad.

There seems to be a roadblock in Liberali moving anywhere right now. Liberali has said that he prefers Catanzaro to Torino because he will get playing time in Serie B. Milan’s management are squabbling over which path is best. Also whether or not to do a full sale or extend his contract. What a mess. But I expect nothing less from Milan right now.

Esposito to Parma is set to happen today. Full sale at 4 million euro with 50% on the resale. The theory is that Parma were given a discount in order to get a better deal on Leoni

Zanoli looks to be bound for Bologna. Napoli are evaluating whether or not to swap him for Fabbian

More rumours today that Atalanta have identified Pinamonti as a Retegui replacement. They say Pinamonti wants to leave Sassuolo (no kidding)

The fact that he's getting Minutes with them in their pre-season does not suggest a move. Is this guy seriously going to waste a 4th year?

We are past it being injuries or a falling out with managers. If he finds himself on the bench this season he will have himself to blame.

If the rumor true, Pinamonti is of different mindset than Berardi!

Amazing scenes in Milan today. Liberali refused to sign any extension with Milan. He wants out as he knows it’s a dead end. He strongly wants to join Catanzaro. They’ve hired Aquilani as the new coach who said he really wants to work with the player. He has spoken to Liberali a couple of times and already knows how and where he wants to play him.

Liberali leaves Milan for 0 Euros with 50% of the sell on. A move that strongly indicates they have no faith in the player. Liberali was one of the best players at the U17 championships last year. This is one of the most disgraceful examples of youth mismanagement I’ve ever seen in Italy. I really hope he goes on to have stellar career.

Contract talks between Fiorentina and Mandragora have broken down. Looks like he might be on the market. Betis still remain very interested

    Little transfers hits:

    - Sottil looks like he’s going to Lecce on loan. Great move for the year. Di Francesco usually does good with these wingers

    - Zaniolo is desperately trying to find a team in Italy. Udinese are evaluating the possibility of bringing him. Not a bad destination since they just sold Thauvin

wow a lot of coverage and a lot of explosion today with different deals. Thank you for summarizing. Today delivered so many transfer news and the Milan chaos is in particular is outrageous. Like you said, the mismanagement of youth full on display.

What is amazing though is he played part in two scudetti, so he has always given that to Napoli no one can remove it.

There are strikers that rack up goals but then go missing in the big games. Raspadori was the opposite. He doesn’t score many, but all his goals were important. Especially coming off the bench. I’m going to miss him

I think immediately of the free kick wonder goal he scored against Empoli.

Of course, one of the many clutch goals he scored

Pinamonti to Atalanta and Zaniolo to Fiorentina would be great moves for both of them. Hope it happens.

So much for Milan's Italian Revolution this summer..they signed Ricci to shut up the media.

Letting Liberali go for nothing as well, before the kid was given a chance. I'm rooting for Cantazaro for promotion next season they have lot of 18-21 year olds that will be given a chance next season.

Milan are on the verge of selling Thiaw (overrated) to Newcastle and have identified Comuzzo as his replacement. Comuzzo is still very young. He started the season last year very strong but faded by January.

    Capello on Camarda:

“I go crazy when I hear people say ‘he’s good, but he has to grow,” Capello told La Gazzetta dello Sport. If you’re good enough, you have to play. And that’s it.

I’ve followed Camarda carefully over the last few years. When he plays, he’s put in a performance equal to or greater than the other Milan strikers. He’s ready.

If you have a talent, you keep him and let him play. He should have stayed with the Rossoneri. Also, because Milan only plays in the league.

Francesco had already passed the San Siro exam with flying colours. He could have played consistently, even at Milan, who are now looking for another centre-forward instead.”

Milan is not the place for youngsters. I'm glad Liberali left.
