Transfer Embargo

    Can anyone explain why Fulham are facing a transfer embargo for failing to pay the entire transfer fee for Steve Marlet, when Lazio didn't face a similar ban for the Jaap Stam deal?

    I believe Lazio worked out a deal with Man. U, who in turn didn't report them to FIFA.

    On another note, has Lazio given the money to Valencia for Mendieta yet? A couple of months ago Valencia thought about legal action for the 18 million that Lazio still owed them. Whatever became of that?

    I just wonder if Fulham as a relatively small club is having to play by different rules than Lazio or another of the big clubs. Not that I am a Fulham fan, mind...
