We Dallas Burn fans are following Matt Jordan's quest to play in Europe instead of signing with MLS and I am confused about the transfer deadlines. I thought the deadline was Jan 31 but apparently, for Denmark at least, this is not the case.

If any knows the deadline info for Austria, Portugal and/or Denamrk, could you clue me in?

    Thanks!

US teams can sign European players whenever MLS and FIFA allow it. European clubs cannot sign players anymore, but they still can sell outside of Europe.

The transferdeadline in Denmark has been moved to the end of february due to the late start of the season (mid march)

Could Jordan, theoretically, sign a contract with an MLS team until June 30?

Otherwise, what does he do from now till then?

He could train with his new club, but he's not getting paid. I don't know if he has family money or not, but I think most middle class families would be seriously hurting to go 6th months without a paycheck.
