12 Stamina pops, two of whom were two levels. Neither was a middie. Quite a few of the players did not pop at all. Form was +1 (my coach)/-4. Bah.
my stinking passable stamina/solid playmaker DIDNT POP. Just about everyone else did though. But this one guy was the one i REALLY needed to pop... I hope he pops two levels next week... I really need him at excellent so i can sell him. He's got good secondaries so he's prolly worth around 200K at excellent stamina. grrr. oh yeah, my GK now has formidable stamina.
Trained passing this week... My 20 yr old passable playmaker popped to Inadequate passing. Form was +5/-3, but 2 points of that +5 were my coach. Can't complain about a pop after one week of training.
No pops in passing this week, I'll probably do some more training this next week, hoping for some kind of pop before switching back to PM. I was +5/-3, but one plus was my coach. Oh my coach also lost a winger skill.
Man, am I ever the dumba$$. Apparently all my players hadn't been updated yet when I updated Buddy. And it said training was over too... Anyway. Stamina pops=23. This time most of my middies did pop. Form was +5/-6. Still had the +2 for my coach though. What's up with that?
Means your coach works with you team during training, he doesn't just sit on the sideline getting fat like a certain coach in LA I know
Sweet. I trained Stamina this week and 16 of my 22 guys went up in it, including my coach. Unfortunately 9 guys went down on form, a couple who didn't even improve stamina. My star midfielder went up in both stamina and form though (he was the only one to go up in form).
Ending up training playmaking as 2 of my 3 players that really needed stamina got injured in this weeks friendly I did get a pop - unfortunatley it was my reserve defender to inad. Form +5/-4
Who ate all the pies? Who ate all the pies? You Fat Bastard. You Fat Bastard. You ate all the pies! Or as Kevin is fond of saying: Hey Sigi, go cry in your burrito.
Decided to train playmaking this week so as to give my 2 17-year olds one last hit........and it worked. My 17-year old solid playmaker jumped to excellent, his 2nd increase this season. I only wish my 17-year old formidable would've managed that. I think he's formidable +3 right now. Everyone else held pretty steady, form-wise. Don't have HAM or HB on my work pc to check out the details. There are a lot of excellents, though. I'll train stamina this week, god have mercy on my form. Panther City FC II.3 - USA
Almost all of my players went up a level of stamina this week. I now have 7 players (6 starters) with excellent stamina and 3 (2 starters) with solid stamina. Let's hear it for pressing the hell out of my series next year! My form is not looking too great, but my first two cup games should be easy, as should my second league game. My first league game, I should get killed, so I'l just press.
I had a good week. Several players went up to passable, a few popped to solid, and I had one pop to excellent. I may do some passing training now.
I think i'll continue to train stamina for next week because i havent got that many past inadequte yet
is there a rule of thumb to decide when to press or not? my mid field is disastrous(-) and the teams i should be playing in my league are no more than wretched(-). my stamina is not great but its ok. also what is the best skill a midfielder can have to boost the midfield rating?
The Best skill for IMs to have, by far, is playmaking. That is what will raise your mf rating. Re: pressing, here are the rules. As you can see, the most important things are defensive skill (of every player) and stamina (of every) player. IMO, pressing isn't worth it if you're not good in one or both of those areas. Your team just gets tired quickly and gives up a lot of goals at the end.
if you don't do something with your midfield, be prepared to be dominated by 70% possession and lose big time. it is relatively easy to get your midfield up to wretched. Get playmakers with at least solid stamina.
