That trailer does not say a single thing about the subject of the movie. Oh, a girl is hot? Big deal. Not a reason to watch a film. I then read the Wikipedia page, it said almost as little, other than it has received a crappy 33% on "Rotten Tomatoes."
Snow White - Theaters [not for long] (3/21/2025) The tales of Lord Farquaad and the 7 beginner's class CGI dumplings.
Seems pretty consistent both visually and thematically with prior Sorrentino releases like La Grande Bellezza and Youth. So had you shown me this trailer and asked me whose project this likely was, Sorrentino would have been my first reply.
When they were announcing that Persuader was going to be the basis for Reacher season three, I already wondered where they were going to find the Big Boy goon who in the book is supposed to dwarf Reacher size-wise whilst also being freakishly fast. Looks like they understood the assignment.
So? You are saying I should not waste my time and should skip all three movies? Thanks for the advice. Guess I will save my money (not that I planned on seeing this new movie).
Of the two I have already seen I would say that La Grande Bellezza is the best. I thought Youth was a bit clunky, some interesting stuff contained within a bloated and self-indulgent whole. Good late Michael Caine performance though.
"late Michael Caine"?!? He's 91 and just retired, but he's not dead...yet! It's amazing that he has had a 73 year career, his first movie in 1950 and most recent in 2023. He's been in a few of my favorite movies: The Italian Job Get Carter Sleuth (the 1972 version. The original is much better than the 2007 remake, which was, well, not good at all) And, one of my top 10 all time favorites: Educating Rita (Ironically, just this morning, I was looking for where to stream this movie so I could watch it again) I just watched Dressed to Kill a short while ago. I remember liking it when I first saw it. This time? It was awful. I have yet to watch his Harry Palmer films, but they are on my list.
Meant late career Caine performances. Still love Dressed to Kill. The museum sequence with Angie Dickinson is still as visually rich as when I first saw it.
