just something to fuel discussion. If you were pastorino who would you be looking to offload and who would you be willing to acquire (realistically) Personally i'd be shopping williams for a winger or a pick, maybe Cancela (he seems to have fallen out of favor)
I wonder if Colorado might want a straight swap Williams for Cunningham. Similar style players, similar salaries but Colorado just dumped 2 midfielders and Mastroeni is hurt, and RSL could really use an athletic forward with good 1v1 skills. That would open it up for Mathis to be in the middle by himself and Cunningham's speed and 1v1 abilities would take a major load off Kreis. I remember seeing that earlier in the year Cunningham wasn't playing a lot. Plus Williams and Mastroeni were great together in Miami so it might work out well for both teams.
I don't think Colorado nor Revs would trade either of those guys. However I agree that if I was Pastorino, Williams would be a good trade bite. He essentially plays the same position that Mathis plays when he is on the Nats. Imagine Mathis as Attacking mid with Dante and Jason up front?
