I may have unwittingly contributed to some kind of controversy - I mentioned "epicenter guy" posting about Elis. He posted on reddit - it was Jamon Moore - he uses his name on reddit. I have no idea if he posts on BS. I find Jamon to be an upfront, smart guy with lots of good takes and analysis but I did not happen to agree with him on his Elis take. That said, he is now offering new info about Elis's knee, which could be relevant. Probably much ado about nothing anyway as it seems the Elis rumor is not reliable.

Since we're on the topic of Pelé, I was his kindergarten teacher. I was constantly sending him to the principal's office for kicking balls around during class. Kids gotta learn sometime, right? Who knew that little Eddie (as we called him) was going to grow up to be Pelé? I feel a little guilty about it: as great a player as he was, just think how much better he could have been if I hadn't constantly disciplined him for working on his ball handling skills during circle time.
