mixing batches leads to horrible hangovers, but, given what we are likely in store for, we will want it to hurt. Ive got the Corralejo on stand by for that. I dont drink scotch when I know Im in for watching crap, lol. Scotch is for the big post game Ws. Bourbon and beer are for the in-game intenseness depending on what threshold of nervousness im at. If we are already down 2-0 after 20 minutes, its tequila. You can imagine how much tequila was consumed last few seasons.
Will Jesse sign any free agents, or are they all tainted having previously played in MLS... Erik Hurtado has signed with #CFMTL, sources tell The Athletic. The forward joins after spending the last two seasons with Sporting KC. Hurtado should give Montreal some more flexibility in attack, joining Norway int’l Bjørn Johnson and Mason Toye on the striker depth chart.— Jeff Rueter (@jeffrueter) February 15, 2021
Everything is certainly shuffling out as far as player availability goes. Sapong went to Nashville on a multi year deal as well. Not much from the garbage bin left. Alashe, Agudelo, and Zavaleta are some of the more eye catching remaining names.
My guess is that with the season start being pushed back, they think he can now get a green card in time.
Surprised BB would have anything to do with Clapton, who appropriated black music while being a white supremicist...
Yeah, I prefer the B.B. alone version, but it had a long ad in front. I don't know much about Clapton's politics but seems like he's disavowed his past views / rant. Robben Ford also does a nice version of the tune.
place your bets now.........is this signing going to be a player that the average MLS fan has actually heard of.....or.....a former Chivas player looking to jumpstart his career?
The FO must be high as they post this like they think we are excited about what they’ve done so far... Delusional much?
Yeah i think Quakes are one of the few teams that doesn't necessarily leak rumors like crazy, but then they hint they're gonna sign somebody and the signings tend to underwhelm big time.
My friends and I first saw B.B. King at the Circle Star Theater back when we were teenagers. Bobby Blue Bland opened up. An amazing night. I think we were the youngest ones there and the only ones NOT dressed to the hilt! A couple of years later, on my 21st birthday, I had a front row table 10 feet away from Ray Charles... at the Saddle Rack!! Not the first place I imagined I would see him, but, Man, that dude kicked ass!
Two legends! I'm a little embarrassed to even mention it, but I played in a band that kind of "opened" for Ray's band - it was just a college group, for a concert at a local college. It was more circumstance than merit . A friend of mine was touring in Ray's band at that time also - a sax player.
Exact same experience, in the early 80s, at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis. BB King and Bobby Bland. My college buddy and I were not only the youngest and worst-dressed but, as far as I could tell, the only whites in attendance. Lots of middle-aged black women in their finest opera-worthy attire swooning for Bland. Maybe we saw the same tour.
I had that same center seat for Jerry Lee Lewis once. Ray Charles would be been so good to see that way. Odd place for him, but then, I did see James Brown at The Saddle Rack one time...another great show, even from the middle of the house.
