    Just wanted to re-cap the variety of rumors floating around about potential union targets, and some rumors that busted. Feel free to rumor it up in here, include links, web addresses or source if you do though (and MLSR doesnt count):

    Michael Orozco, San Luis defender and capped USMNT player. Non english reports out of Mexico are saying that Orozco has mutually terminated his contract with San Luis and is headed to Major League Soccer to play in Philadelphia. https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1299606

    Roger Torres, 18 year old Colombian central midfielder.     1 of 3 Colombian Centerbacks, MLS has signed 3 young Colombian centerbacks on discovery claims.     Chris Albright, Veteran U.S. defender was put on the trade block by New England and speculation mounted that Philly was interested.     Robbie Rogers, not sure how or where this one started but for while the boards were very hot about this potential trade from Columbus.     I don't think the Jeremiah White rumor is quite done and busted. His contract overseas is only til the summer. He could return after, potentially.

    Speaking of Seedorf, here's an interesting piece from today in the New York Times Q&A Seedorf does every week. Here he answers a question about playing in MLS and he certainly doesnt deny the possibility of coming to the United States to play.

    On a side note, I think its really an excellent thing the NYT does. Every week they ask you to submit questions for Clarence and he'll answer 10 of them. Usually they only get around 30 or so questions so you have a great chance of getting yours answered. So if you've ever wanted to ask a question of a world renowned soccer player this is your chance.

    Not exactly as rumored with the contract termination, but Orozco makes his wat to Philly none-the-less. Also of note, all MLS loans require an option to buy $ amount.

    It looks like the numerous Roger Torres (18 year old midfielder from Amercia de Cali in Colombia's 1st Division) to Phily rumors are getting stronger with Nowak's ex-Fire teammate, Diego Gutierrez, possibly continuing his Colombia-to-MLS pipeline. A report from Colombia posted tonight says that Torres is headed here on a year loan with an option to buy (sounds like an Orozco-type deal) as America supposedly needs the $ -we will all believe it when we see it but the loan part makes it seem a bit more real than the average rumor. Torres is no longer listed on the team's roster - nor is another Cali player linked with MLS (Edward Zea - the 18 year old center-back signed by MLS last month). When Ives announced the 3 Colombian defender signings, I thought that Zea might be the Union's discovery claim of the 3 players based on his U17 Youth team days (which Hackworth probably scouted) and a potential Torres teammate link. If both of these players come to Philly (and given Nowak's youth movement and comments about having enough vets on the team - it does fit with that logic despite that many of us think the team needs more offensive firepower - there are 3 open senior roster spots and they would take two of them despite their ages. Given the fact that have been playing 1st Division games, they are not going to come here for a cheap developmental deal), they would at least know each other to help get acclimated to Philly.


    Here is the always amusing Spanish-to-English translation full of steering wheels, flying youths, etc.:

    Dept Cali and America are 2 different teams. Dept Cali has more money than they can do with it and prefer bringing in crap Argies instead of giving a chance their youth players(1-3 top canteras in Colombia at least 1/5 of the youth teams come from them)

    Torres is a great young midfielder and started for America but thats basically because they have no money because they use to be run by drug dealers, havent had a bank account since early 2000s and can only afford to play youth players. That they sell after 1-2 seasons.

    As for the other 1 defenders have no clue who they are but Pablo Escobar is a very good CB.
