why does spurs defense stink so much?

with a keeper of Lloris ability, and with the amount of possession Spurs tend to have, they have so few clean sheets all season

Not so open since the equaliser unfortunately, Swansea sitting deep and countering.

why is the pitch browning on the edges at the Lane. other grounds in worse weather are doing much better.

    I always question that.
My concern is that this team is just crossing balls in the box with reckless abandon. It doesn't make any sense. Kane isn't getting in any because he is marked out by two to three people. The wingers need to get in the box and help out. Get the backs forward and put in crosses. The midfielders in this system sit too deep so it's the wingers jobs to get in there and mix it up.

    good,
don't they understand that they have to make runs all the time in order to get to shooting positions
    now we need more

Townsend with a nice run down the left and solid finish

Great goal Townsend. Excellent refereeing to play advantage, especially as our player was down arguably with a head injury after a foul.

Defensively were starting to look dodgy, so that gives us some breathing room. Vertonghen in particular been poor today.

Denied a 4th goal by tight offside call on Kane.

Kane subbed for Soldado, looked a bit jaded and been tightly marked today.

Inevitable he would score, deserved it after his freekick in the first half.

    Sloppy defending again.

Jesus... so close to 3-3, the usual world class save by Lloris. 3-2 FT.

Why must Spurs make it so difficult? Dominate possession, score 3 spectacular goals, concede two soft ones due to shitty defending. Lucky to come away with 3 points in the end.

It's nice to see some goals come from the midfield. The first and third were especially wow. Nice to see Mason and Townsend find the back of the net instead of the back of the stands.

Just can't believe the defending some times. Vert has looked mediocre at best the last few games. Who in the world was Davies marking on the second goal? Obviously not Siggy.

Score three and we're life and death at the end. Oh the life of a Spurs fan.

The three goals were great quality, Chadli's technique on the volley and the cross from Rose, Eriksen's dribbling and Mason's good finish, Townsend's long run and putting it right into the top corner.

Defensively it's dodgy, but in fairness we've had a crazy schedule of games, no time to get proper rest let alone prepare fully. Just need to get past QPR on saturday and we're down to only 1 game a week, should see some improvements from the training ground and in the concentration and energy levels at that point.
