Charlton fighting for there lives and are almost relegated so it will be tough, 4 points out of 9 remaning in our season will see us finish in a european place, if we aviod defeat here we'll have a great chance.

    Cheeky ;)

A win at Charlton and all we'll need is a point out of six from Blackburn and Man City at home. With neither of them with much to play for, we're looking good.

I hate to say that, but I can't help but be feeling very good about our situation right now. We really should be able to take at least six points from our final three games, but I won't count my chickens before they're hatched. Let's just take the three points from Charlton and go from there.

    COYS!!!

We need to win this. It would be very satisfying to relegate Chortleton and that prat Pardew, I still remember what a big mouth he was last season at the Spammers.

5th place is wide open for us, would be a decent finish to get it again.

True, but it was hilarious seeing him getting Wenger all riled up this season.

I see where the concern could be, Charlton fighting for survival, but they have been for months and last week at Blackburn summed them up. Go a goal down, then a man down, then equalise, then collapse.

I just think Spurs will be too good for them.

I'm a little bit worried about this game, I should probably be more nervous, I think we'll get the job done 3-1...

This game represents a massive 3pts which would leap us over 3 teams, Bolton, Reading & Pompey into 6th on 56pts with 6pts to play for.

Blackburn with Spurs & Reading to play still have an outside shot of making a UEFA spot so I'd expect a stiff challenge on Thurs from them. I'm more worried about that game but first things first... let's get it done at Charlton and push our goal difference up which could still be a key decider in final placing.

    On the plus side:

Even if we do drop a game, provided we manage 2 wins (59pts) that will secure 6th and possibly 5th as no one but Everton could edge us.

Everton has to play away to Chelsea... hopefully the best they'll get is a draw as Chelsea will most likely rest players for the FA Cup final.
Everton: Win at Chelsea = max possible pts 60, draw at Chelsea = 58, lose = 57.

Bolton hosts Villa and could max at 58pts with a win.

Pompey can only max at 56pts by beating Arse.

Reading face Blackburn away and can max at 57pts.

Blackburn can only max 56pts with wins over Spurs & Reading.

    COME ON YOU SPURS!!!

The reverse game at the Lane was the poorest opposition I've seen in the league this year. Bent is good but they give him no supply. I would rate their defence as second worst in the league after West Ham's. Unlike West Ham, I don't see any fire in their game in recent weeks. 2-1 Tottenham.

I'm thinking more along the lines of 3-1 or 3-2 Spurs

    1) Your defence is leaking a few at the moment, and Charlton will probably get two as they need to win the game and will go on the offensive for the 90 minutes in order to do this.

    2) However, Spurs are creating and scoring more chances than at any time in the last couple of seasons, and with Charlton's "chocolate leg" defence (as in they melt whenever people run at them, nothing naughty lads) combined with Berbatov and Keane up front, this is a recipe for the joy of four.

    3) On top of this, Charlton capitulate every time they let in a goal and end up letting in 4 :p

Weak defense? More like tired defense. This week alone we have 3 games. If Charlton were decent I would agree that we'd let a few in, but it's Charlton, they suck.

Charlton aren't that bad, they've had a very bad season alright, probably beat us tonight though. :(

Exactly, that's why I said it's leaking a few goals as opposed to "it's totally shit", which it's not. Well, maybe with the exception of Rocha at the back...

Halfway through the first half, it's pretty much all Spurs. Charlton have gone close on a couple of occasions, but Spurs have enjoyed near total domination against distinctly average opposition thus far.

Charlton have come on extremely strong towards the end of this half. Alex Song and Darren Bent have had chances that would have gone in on other days - Spurs are absorbing the pressure at the moment.
