Quick turnaround after the NLD and hopefully we can continue the momentum. The injury list gets longer every game though, with now Kulusevski ruled out in addition to Romero, Reg, Doherty... So I expect Lucas to slot in for Kulu, and no other changes from Thursday. Early kickoff, 7am Eastern. COYS!
Big one, this. I'd say I'm nervy, but really, if we cant stuff these, at home, under these conditions ... i wont have any complaints, because we just arent good enough - even if those twunts up the road aren't, either. Whatever. Just take care of business, fellas. 4-nil will suffice for me. Come on you Spurs, and all that.
Tottenham XI: Lloris, Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Emerson, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Sessegnon, Moura, Son, Kane Subs: Gollini, Austin, Winks, Rodon, Kulusevski, Bergwijn, White, Scarlett, Craig
Burnley have completed 16 passes and had 12% of possession. Spurs are relentlessly pressing and probing.
I guess there is some poetic justice in football, we got a dodgy VAR-assisted penalty and benefited from the fact the VAR was Stuart Attwell, one of the worst refs in the PL. A more experienced official probably would have allowed it and we would be moaning about how we threw away more points to inferior opposition. However, considering some of the ridiculous penalty decisions that went against us last season, I'm not complaining.
