May have been a different outcome but Sterling would have taken that shot too. As would have just about every professional goal scorer.

Ok, Saka’s fullback is on a yellow. Let Saka cook.

seems like we're either trying to build too slow or or fast

28' Solanke with a looping header which was really scary as it went over Raya's reach and just just wide. Raya's been solid so far today but...

I assumed Sterling off the bench is a plan.

He had good games at Chelsea last year especially when it came down to individual talent. The big issue is the team chopped and changed so much, and young players can be inconsistent. It mean that some games he looked good because of what was around him and some weeks he looked horrible.

Its why I am excited to see what he does when we have our best team out there. Chelsea were a lot of early games last season so I saw a bit of him. He is still prone to bad misses but he was good value for the quality of his running and assists.

Doesn't have the pace of Martinelli but if he was in that position earlier that Gabi hit at the keeper he likely gets it to Saka or kicks it over the goals.

I'm also assuming that Sterling is more fit than Jesus who just barely returned from injury and started training (this week?)

Timber and Martinelli are combining very well, that has been one positive this season.

We really need a L8 to help with the last ball into the box for Martinelli like Xhaka used to.

36' Another yellow (to Timber) so it's now 2-2. And a little bit of argybargy breaks out.

Edit: Make it 3-2... Vicario gets a card for his provocation on TImber after the tackle.

Good - Vicario initiated all that nonsense. Happy to see someone recognized that.

it wasn't even a tackle, per se. Timer's foot was on the ball and slid over into Porro.

Timber's had a good and lively half me thinks. A little close to the edge perhaps. But so far so good. Liking that choice for LB. Not that it was every much in doubt I guess.
