I'd be surprised to see anything other than the same team as against Arse, maybe one or two changes like Chadli or Stambouli coming in depending on knocks picked up in that game and whether Poch feels the need to freshen it up given the work rates.

Terrrible run of results against Liverpool in the last 18 months, 0-3, 0-4, 0-5, 2-3. Annoying as we were on a great run against them before that. Hopefully a similar turnaround in this game as we had against Chelsea and Arse.

A point would technically be enough, as Liverpool are the ones desperate for a win and we will have played our hardest away games. See no reason why we can't target a win though, given the form we are in both results and performance-wise.

I won't lie. A win at Anfield could lead to some serious expectations and optimism for me - and nothing good can ever come of that.

Been a punching bag for them in a recent times. For some reasons, we just make them look like title contenders.

    Will take a draw here.

I was getting all bitter Saturday, for the hard-on the media has for Liverpool. Putting the Merseyside derby on national TV while the NLD was the early game tucked away on cable early morning. (I know the scheduling didn't help that). Talking endlessly about their top 4 chances (guess I'd be even madder if I was a Southampton fan). Stevie G this, Stevie G that, last derby, LA Galaxy, blah blah blah. Turns out that was far more entertaining than their game.

Short turn around after an emotional result, against a team who look there for the taking. Yeah, this is exactly the type of match Spurs are prone to losing this season.

i dunno where Spurs are on points compared to last season, but does anyone think that, at least since December, spurs are a much more watchable team than they were last season? still room for improvement, but I feel more excited watching this team than I did watching post-Bale AVB managed matches

This is going to be a tough game and frankly I think there are some things that are not playing in our favor. Anfield is somewhere we haven't done incredibly well or at least the times I have seen us play there. I feel a bit uneasy about this and I hope the other players can start scoring goals because I think there will be a specific gameplan for Kane. I hope Lamela bags a goal.

Reports that Sterling is out "injured". I reckon that sounds better than "out due to fears of being rocked like a HarryKane"

At times. At times they’ve looked just as dire. The past 10 days have been pretty spectacular, but let’s not forget less than a month ago they looked poor while losing 2-1, at home, to bottom of the table Leicester in the FA Cup. Four days later they had to scrape back for a 2-2 draw against League 1 Sheffield United. The 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace was dreadful as well.

There’s a youthful enthusiasm about the team that doesn’t care about history and whom they shouldn’t be able to beat (e.g. Chelsea, Arsenal). youth is a double-edged sword though, and they’ve shown naiveté in not killing off games, not being able to hold leads and not knowing what to do against stubborn defensive set-ups like Crystal Palace. I’m not sure how much of the past 10 days has been good fortune and how much has been the team coming together – tonight’s match and the subsequent 5 matches in 2 weeks will be quite telling.

I am optimistic for this match, Spurs are on terrific form and Liverpool are missing Sterling. I imagine we will see the same team with likely Chadli starting over Lamela and maybe Davies instead of Rose.

The key to this match to me is shutting down Sturridge, period. I wonder if we see Fazio in due to strength but the speed of Sturridge worries me a bit

This is big soccer - no place for "rational lack of exuberance." COYS!

Sloppy start, two poor backpasses, second one in particularly Sturridge at full fitness could have finished.

0-1, caught on counter after having a good opening. Lloris probably should have got it.

3rd terrible backpass. Sums up the sloppiness so far.

I'm pleasantly surprised with Lamela's effort thus far. Great ball on Kane's goal.

If we could stop passing the ball to Liverpool's attackers in dangerous areas that would be lovely.

Kane's passing in and around the box isn't that great.

Dembele must wear stickum on his boots. Unreal ball control.

Yeah he made one good save, but the goal was soft.

Kane given offside when he wasn't. It's not like he's lightning quick, crappy linesman.
