The first professional Grisales´s match was vs River Plate in Supercopa in 1997, in Monumental stadium. In 2000, Grisales arrive to San Lorenzo and returned to Atlético Nacional. In 2001, he played Copa América and wins the first national team title. He was born in Bello (Antioquia) in 1975, and has 28 years old.

Thanks for the info. Debut in 97, sounds about right for a 28 year old. No word yet on how he`s doing in training, a decision will probably be made this time next week. From what I`ve heard of him, lets give him a go. If we`re paying Hadji £500,000 to LEAVE we may aswell spend the same amount for Grisales to join us.

Suerte 'Totono'.

I found this on enlajugada.com, it basically says that if Atl.Nacional and Aston Villa come to an agreement on money matters, "Totono" will become a Villan...is that true? have they talked to the player himself? or someone from Villa?

Excuse me. Debut in 96 (River 2- Julio Cruz y Roberto Monserrat, Nacional 2- Francisco Mosquera y John Jairo Tréllez), first round in Sudamerican Supercopa.

In 2002, Galatasaray wanted Grisales, and after Copa Suramericana 2003 Sao Paulo (Brazil) for the chilean team manager Roberto "Cóndor" Rojas.

    Alexis García
    Freddy Grisales (Oswaldo Mackenzie)

    Juan Pablo Ángel

Mmmm, I can read your question in two ways, firstly, can I take pictures of the Villa players training? No. The training ground is hard to get to, and I`m not sure I could be there at the right times. Secondly, is it possible for anyone to take pictures, are spectators allowed to watch and take photographs? I`m not sure about this. A few years ago people were allowed in to watch training sessions, but I`m not sure if that still happens. I`ll look out for any photo`s of Grisales training with the squad and post them here if I find them.
Thanks Diego, for the information you posted here about Grisales`s playing career. It`s interesting he`s played along side JP before at club level.

A very ugly animal. Actually, thats just what our midfield needs. It`s a bit lightweight at the moment.

I`ve just read on the official Aston Villa site that we won`t be signing Grisales. O`Leary said: `He`s a good player but not what we`re looking for`. I`m sad about that, maybe there is another signing lined up, like Solano, we`ll see, only 5 days left in the transfer window.

    Totono needs a new manager/agent

Why a player as gifted as Grisales cannot get to a team in one of the big leagues? Furthermore, why it seems to be always a problem with all the teams interested on him? San Lorenzo failed on the agreement back in 2000, and now he went all the way to England for nothing, since apparently, the Villains were not truly interested in him. And now he is getting offers from second-tier leagues and so-so teams. Something must be wrong with his agent, maybe they ask too much or maybe he does not go to the right people.

now he is sick with a virus (common cold)
and said NO to the national team friendly of the week!
