If yes, who's needs to go?

Kreis: trading him at this point is basically writing off the rest of the season.

Rhine: trade possibility. Has value because he performs relatively well for what he's paid.

Cerritos: makes too much, scores too little, injury concerns. Does have a green card.

EJ: P40 (still), at this rate he'll still be a P40 next year. Potential is still there, which means he'd have some trade value.

Thompson: just beginning to get off IR. P40. Let's see how he does with the team before shopping him.

Nhleko: I'm guessing he won't be traded. I hope he's the answer.

    The results of the poll

Here's the result of the poll for (feasible or not) a trade involving Kreis or keeping and working with what we have.

Yes, trade Jason so he gets a championship within the next two years. 11.90%
No, Jason Kreis IS THE BURN! 38.10%
No, keep him and hope that other forwards score in the playoffs when needed. 7.14%
Yes, trade him, wish him the best, and build the Burn around EJ. 35.71%
Other, post your feelings in this thread. 7.14%

While the close results between "No, Jason Kreis IS THE BURN!" and "Yes, trade him, wish him the best, and build the Burn around EJ." is no real surprise, it does tell me that EJ still has possibilities (at least in *our* minds).

I'm wondering when this new striker is going to play for us. Surely not by the 14th. What happens if Rhine and Kreis pair well together against the Quakes? Will this new striker come on as a sub in the next game? Will he even *get* a good look to see if he's *worth* the possibility of losing EJ or Cerritos?

    Questions, Questions.

Well, from the press release, it doesn't seem like Toni will be getting here until July.

That gives Rhine, Cerritos, and EJ another month to make their claim. Sounds fair to me. And, Nhleko is not even an allocation, he's a loaner. I'm not sure there will be the same pressure to play him as soon as he's legally able, especially if another forward gets hot.

Not to mention that Kreis is the only forward to have scored during the run of play.

    Bradley on EJ

    7. I know Eddie Johnson's still a kid, so forgive me, but I'm beginning to wonder what is wrong. I've watched this kid on youth national teams and I've watched him in some of his MLS cameos and there's obvious talent there. We've seen kids from Bobby Convey to Santino Quaranta to Mike Magee and, last weekend Eddie Gaven show they can compete in MLS. So when does EJ arrive? And while I'm on the subject of the Dallas Burn, I'm still recovering from motion sickness after trying to watch another dizzying game (I believe it was shot from a helicopter) from Dragon Stadium.

I think the big question now is if we should start playing a 4-3-3 system.
