Is it a bit too early to ask if anyone plans to make BitTorrents on these two matches (which are not easily available in my area)?

I second that request. I just moved overseas and the biggest thing I'm going to miss about the states are the Nat games. If somebody would make a torrent I would be forever grateful.

I don't know the TV situation for the Panama game, but the El Salvador match is a must since FSW is the "forbidden" channel..

dude, I have the full match of that game ES v PAN... I need your help, I would like to put it into a torrent file,... I recently visited that site and I have been trying to download both the usa vs jamaica game and Guatemala vs Canada and for some reason I can't see the games, I am really new at this... I would really apreciate it if you can help step by step including how to put the ES v Pan game on torrent file.

I know that you have to have it on dvd, I have a burner so I can transfer it. but from there I don't know which programs to download. help me please. thanks.

I don't know too much about it. Had to get help the last time I used it. I'm sure someone will jump in soon enough.

But, for the record... I'm interested in the UPCOMING USA v. El Sal and USA v. Panama games

Either that, or call it "poor schmucks who live in college towns and don't have cable."

Or you live overseas and no one even has a concept of a CONCACAF WCQ much less a broadcast of a match...

Or you're a poor college student with no FSW on his Comcast package.

Here are the steps necessary to make a video file to share on the Internet.

If the signal is to be taken from the TV then you must have a way to change from analog to digital. This most easily done with a DVD recorder, which are available for about $200.00 from Amazon. You also must have a DVD reader in your computer.
In order to take the DVD to avi, download the claddvd and virtualdubmod from http://www.clonead.co.uk/. Or here some additional Codecs. http://www.free-codecs.com/. I find claddvd at is a little easier to use than some of the others. These will set up the various programs to get to an avi file.

So load the DVD into the DVD reader on your computer and open claddvd. It should find the dvd and then ask where to save the files on the computer. These files will be multiple gigabytes. This should take about 20 minutes. After that open virtualdubmod and load the finished files from above. VirtuaDubMod will allow editing. From the Video menu select the compression either Dvix or Xvid. If you don’t have these they can be downloaded from www.divx.com or www.xvid.org. Save the files in a separate directory. These should result in a finished product of about 700meg although they may be larger. Depending on your computer, this will take hours.

Download the Bit Torrent client ABC from http://pingpong-abc.sourceforge.net/. Open ABC and choose Tools then Create Torrent and select the directory you just made with the avi files in it. This creates a small file which contain information about the avi files. This torrent is then uploaded to the Tracker. This is a website which tracks the torrent .
    For previous torrents we used
    http://torrents.huntparkinsider.com/

In order to use this tracker you have to contact the operator from the web site.

When the torrent file is uploaded then open ABC and go to that tracker and that will allow others to download from your computer. This means that you must leave your computer as a “seed” while others get the file.

This should get you started. If you want to try these things and have a problem e-mail me or we can open a chat room to discuss.
If you cannot get the DVD then there is another way but that’s another post.

I just noticed that there are 6 leeches and no seeds for the Jamaica game. Anybody want to seed? I'll see if I still have the game when I get home, and I'll seed if I do.

The little walk-thru above is a good one. It's a little overwhelming the first time thru, but it's easy to create torrents once you understand the process. If you want to use the HPI tracker (and I'm the POC for that), you have to have a sensible filename (like what is already listed there).

Also, if you can hear, but not see, one of the HPI tracker downloads, it's because you don't have the DiVX codec installed. You can get it for free at www.divx.com

Could you? Someone? I have checked in all the "usual places" but have never found the El Salvador match, and now it's time to seek a video of Panama as well.
Any help is greatly appreciated by me here in England, and I'm sure by others abroad or who were otherwise unable to watch.

I would have to get it, but sure. Once I find a way to get it, I'll seed it for a week or so.
