Now that Makelele talks have cooled, slightly maybe Torrado is being pursued. Can't say as he is my favorite D-mid. I think Geremi can do a good job there with a bit of training and coaching. He was originally brought into Real Madrid as a defensive minded midfielder to be the next Makelele if I recall. Of course, Makelele is in my opinion the second best man for the job (Viera 1) for most teams. But, if we can't get him - I could be comfortable with Geremi and Petit backing him up.
Torrado was an animal during WC. He was the best player on the pitch that day in the Mexico-Italy game.
Yeah I saw him score a screamer. I just think that if he is unhappy with playing time at Sevilla and goes to Chelsea how are we going to find spots for everyone. I still say let Geremi play that role he can do a good job there.
Torrado certainly wants to go........whethere there is a place for him or not remains to be seen. Chelsea has Geremi, Lampard, Cole, Veron, and Duff in the midfield. I would compare Geremi and Torrado equally, I think he's better than Lampard.
