Moreno not as involved due to the 'bounce it here and there and run' style of this game, I think.

38' Wondo with a whiff on a half-chance after some good work from Lenhart.

Is it just me, or is Silviu favoring the home team? I've seen a few calls that should have gone our way go the other way. Just sayin'.....

40' Moreno with a studly steal and distribution.

that was a great move, keeping it along the touch, turning and distributing.

I'd like to see Sercan come in for Lenhart in the second half, somewhere in the 60th. minute. I want to see if he's worth his salt.

10 exciting minutes followed by 40 frustrating ones. Do we have to play so deep? No way we can capitalize on chances when everyone is parked by the other goal.

This is another somewhat scrappy game. I was hoping that by playing more passing games, we could raise that type of play to the next level, which should help us in every way. I think the rain and our skill level is making that a bit too difficult.

Thank god Bernardez is ok. I'd also like to see Sercan, though I expect he's slower, perhaps he could wrestle smarter.

We're no longer able to possess the ball on the ground, and the wind is randomizing every ball in the air.

The bottom line is we survived, though, and the 2nd half is a re-roll of the dice.

Yeah, there was pretty much zero linkup from the defense to the midfield after that goal was scored. Busch is just bootin' the ball to wherever. With the wind I'm surprised they didn't just keep playing the ball on the ground to move it around. Maybe having it in your face wears you down after a while. Maybe there is some fear that the wet and wind will lead to giveaways at the back? Not sure. Obviously continuing like this isn't going to get the job done.

Anybody know why Garber was in the Bay Area this week? I haven't seen any reports that he was here for any event, but I'm sure he didn't come just to do a studio interview with Jim Kozimor.
