Hopefully Venezuela can't bring all of their stars. That 2017 team was LOADED.

Brazil is definitely the best team, but I'd say we're in the tougher group based on recent sub 20 squads.

I don't know, not that worried about Venezuela. Yes they have talented team, but besides Fariñez, most of them, including Hurtado of Boca, don't have the best time in the past year. Ecuador will be more dangerous in my opinion and of course Argentina. Since it's in Colombia, I believe that we are the favorites to go through to the final stage. Argentina won't qualify easily as well, by the way.

Yeah absolutely more scared of Ecuador than Venezuela......that have an internal crisis with dudamel and players.

Maybe Peñaranda will be allow to play, because he is struggling in Belgium......Soteldo is in a good level, but because of this i doubt he will play...

Very lucky to get that bye day right in between. But I really hate that we're starting against Argentina...

Not sure that it'll be that bad. Usually the start is difficult for every team, including Argentina and we can take advantage of that playing at home. To win first match against Argentina will boost the morale for sure.

Recent friendlies did not end up well. Lost to Paraguay 3-1 and then blew a 2-0 lead to Paraguay in the rematch for a draw.

But friendlies are just friendlies. This team should play very differently when the lights go on and there are many people in the stands in yellow cheering them on.

Had no idea these games were being played.

The CB, Teran, a 19 year old who just proved to me he's not ready for this kind of pressure, got red carded at the end of the first half. Paraguay had a guy red carded too, but it definitely had a big impact on the match.

First thing to note is the front 4 of Carbonero-Mender-Sandoval-Angulo were much stronger in that 2nd match than Cetre-Ramirez-Carrascal and Mender up front in the 1st. Angulo looked the best in the highlights, but I have a strong feeling that Sandoval's physical presence up front made a huge difference.

Clearly, the biggest issue is defense. 2 goals given up on dead balls. Segura, the CB from LAFC, got owned for the final one in the first match. Reyes, who I think is very overrated, is nowhere near the scorers on the 1st and 3rd. Ditta, cb from Junior, gives the ball away for Paraguay's 1st gol in the 2nd match.

This is concerning, but, like you said, friendlies are friendlies. To me, it's mentality that's most concerning. They had no chances whatsoever after Paraguay scored in the 2nd match. Atuesta has not been playing well, so much that they've taken the armband from him at times.

I'm not sure if Benedetti played any minutes in these matches. He didn't start, and I didn't see him in any highlights. Whether it's due to injury or Reyes, that ain't good.

As with many other Colombian teams, I can't see this team functioning without a creator. Atuesta isn't enough. Ramirez and Carrascal are too selfish. Yeison Guzman was never called...

I also think it's concerning that we see a different lineup in EVERY single match. Besides Benedetti, this is practically the best we can bring to the preolimpico. None of the European legion are going to make it. A shame, because I think Cuesta and Lucumi would solve a lot of problems.

Maybe the Manager of America said he could only train with the Sub 23 but had to be back in Mexico by a certain date because the Final against Monterrey is the 26th.

Would have been awesome to see Luis Diaz and Sinisterra roaming around the wings in dominant fashion too but that is the way it is.

IF there were no Copa this summer and IF we were to qualify, this would be a damn good squad.

Alguien que me ayude a entender esta verga. No hay un solo lateral derecho en todo el FPC o en el extranjero aparte de Arroyo para este torneo de mierda? Ese man es el hueco.

Yeah. He was awful in previous tournaments. I hope to hell it doesn't come to that...

Balanta was Rb under Piscis and he was pretty good there. From what I understand, Reyes has used Herrera on the right, too. Obviously, this is the opposite of his profile...

Otra cosa, que carajos está pensando Reyes? 3 laterales zurdos y solo dos extremos. Carbonero ha hecho más méritos que Cetre para ser convocado.
