Great game by the kids. We need to finish every chance we get, so we don't have another 1-0 loss like the Brazil game.

i disagree completely, if it wasn't for Jaramillo we wouldve received a lot more. I couldn't believe they couldn't win 1 ball in the air. our forwards scored today. but I do agree they are a bit rubbish on their finishing. Montano needs to grow some balls and take the shot when he has the chance cause he never does.

What a great game but man we could've beaten Bolivia 5-1. We had so many chances. Ecuador has to improve on finishes. Other than that the defense played great after the goal they gave up. Great game!

    no Mister!!!

bolivia estaba bien armadito y tenia gente buena
talentosos y ordenados en lo tactico
chumacero no jugo hoy o Toco

the forwards need work. They are definitely better than the ones we had in the last U-20 tournament along with our defense. But Chala and Montano (especially) need to work on that finishing. IMO I feel more secure with Marlon up front. Don't know if it's just me, but i still think he's the best of our forwards in the U-20 squad.

Why does Gaibor keep trying those long distance shots, even though none of them are even close? That was f-ing annoying.

At the U-20 level, should players be shooting so bad? It's not just Ecuador I've seen almost all the national teams and they all take some horrible shots!

They're 18-19 year old kids, so its to be expected. They are all very raw for the most part.

for those who said he sucked a few days ago...this is the Caicedo I was talking about that takes down the left side like a champ. On a good day this kid does the damn thing no question about it. Seen it enough in Emelec.

Cazares was out for 2 games. He's got 1 more game to go til we see him again. And thats if we see him again b/c I like what Marcos Caicedo has done in this tournament much more than what I've seen from Cazares. I have not yet seen the true potential that people talk about so much that Cazares has. I give him til the end of the tournament.

The schedule is out. The top 2 (wonder who that will be?) qualify to the 2012 Olympics. The top 4 qualify to the U-20 World Cup this year in Colombia. If Colombia finishes in the top 4, the 5th place team also qualifies. Does that mean if Colombia doesn't finish in Top 4, they don't play in their own WC?:confused:

    Hexagonal Final
    31/01, Arequipa: Argentina - Ecuador (16H50)
    31/01, Arequipa: Chile - Brasil (19H00)

No, it means 5 teams go to the WC with Colombia being the only one with a guaranteed spot - 1st or dead last.

Why do people always, I mean Always don't judge player's awesomeness against countries on low quality? people need to put things in perspective. All you are doing in wasting post. It was bolivia!!!!! let players have the same performace against the top dogs in South America than we can talk and give accurate performance value. People went nuts when this Batioja kid score goals in some tournament that included which top futbol nation? NONE!

Yeah, That's what I am! A hater of Ecuadorian Futbol.. Its getting Ridiculous. If you want to judge your Footballers on performances against Bolivia. Go right on ahead. By the way, Where is this BATIOJA kid? injured? What did theses kids do against a Brasilian B-Team? Yeah, That's what is was, a BRASILIAN B TEAM? Let judge their performance after this tournament is over and get a real accessment of their quality. WOOHOOO, they had a really good game against Bolivia!!! the European scouts are lining up!!! Oh, can anyone explain why Walter Chala has a receding hairline at his age?

argentine you can't imply because Chala's hairline is receding he might not belong in this under 20 squad. there are a lot of kids who go bald early in life... LOL

regardless, Chala is awesome ! can't wait to see Argentina vs Ecuador on Monday... should be good... Let's see what Caicedo can do against a big team. I hope he proves you wrong :D
