You are right, maybe the Cup should have been scheduled entirely for the month of July, which would also help with a bit lower temperatures in the muggy northern cities, time for players to recover, and more time for teams to practice together, not to forget that Brazil could use another couple of weeks to get things ready. As it stands now, the Brazilian team for example had less than 3 weeks to practice, which is much less than what used to happen in the past.
