But then, the scandal of a few years ago didn't mean all Democrats were traitors, either. But what's interesting is that this story by the AP mentions she's politically connected, and mentions the Democratic link from a few years ago. But it doesn't mention that she, herself, is NOT a Democrat. And in this ABC article, her political affiliation isn't mentioned. (I mention ABC because at Bergin's site, some rightwing nutjob is trying to dismiss ABC news as so hopelessly liberal that it can't be counted on to report facts correctly. The Rupert either has invested or is going to invest (I am too lazy to look up which) in satellite TV in China. So China could wipe out LA with a nuke and it would probably not be mentioned on Fox. I'm surprised they carried as much as they did. Strangely enough, townhall.com; which is about to kick off Pat Buchanan & Ann Coulter for being too liberal; did mention this story & mentioned her contributions to Republicans.
The AP article does mention her GOP ties: Anyway, if this is true she's a traitor and should be executed, but I don't think a GOP fundraiser selling secrets to China is exactly the same as the President of the United States selling secrets to China.
You know, it's just so amusing, the classic superdave rhetorical trick "hey look she's a Republican!!..although not all Republicans are commie spies" ...a typically clumsy superdave effort to gleefully and smugly tar others with innuendo on the one hand, yet clean off the sticky mess with the other. But of course, her assocation with the Republican party, or any political party, is really not the heart of this story. Not that means a whit to good ol' leftist superdave. No, what the story means its this. It's that the FBI should NOT be in the undercover international espionage business. What an intelligence disaster.
