    Is the source squawka.com (link below)? Do you know where their information came from? Legrotaglie seems to be a new name.

    Pele with 70(in official or friendly games)?

    There is data for zico scoring 100-110 free kicks in his career so he leads by a considerable margin
    A FK 20-25 yards from goal was like a penalty for zico

    https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/the18.com/soccer-videos/zico-free-kicks-astounding-accuracy?amp
    From distance up to 50 yards than Juninho was better with mihajlovic following behind closely

    Vegan collected data for 73 free kicks for Diego maradona
    https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/platini-va-maradons-vs-zico.1702664/page-4

    CRonaldo had 60 FKs as of now with the video footage to prove aswell

    As for Cristiano he scored 53 excluding friendlies according to Michelacosta

    He just scored another one :thumbsup:
    He'll probably end his career with 65-70 free kicks if he keeps scoring like this

    Sinisa Mihajlovic is a free kick specialist galore. I can't find his total career numbers but he has 43 free kicks goals just with Lazio.

    I read "all" and not "a lot".

    Messi is 31 almost 32. Depends how long he plays. But averaging 6 in a season is hard. I don't think he keeps that up. If he plays for 3 more seasons ... that's 18. Would put him just over 60.

    Before 2014 I don’t think Messi had more than 10 direct FKs in his career

    From all the FK specialists he has too be an anomaly in that he became WC in set pieces much later

    Compared to CR at 25 years old(2010) had 20-25 direct FKs
    From 2014 till now probably only 5-6(maybe only 3 without a deflection lol)

    Add another one today against villarreal

    For the past 2 or so seasons messi has been as good as any FK specialist ive ever watched

    Wouldnt it be amazing if a player who had scored barely 10 FKs in his career at 26 years old went on to become a top 5-10 set piece specialist(with potentially 60-70 Fks if he continues at this current rate)

    His accuracy from just outside the box is becoming zicoesque

    I agree. Calculating conversion rate based on FK scored per game is completely illogical as one can play many games not attempting a single free kick and vice versa. These are weird rules made by James

    Btw make posts in English

    If I thought about writing in English because I noticed that the vast majority do it in English, but since I do not know the language, I thought that the translator would not literally translate what I'm trying to say (although I suppose you would translate it in the same way through the translator) what you're right and I'll start publishing in English. Well I'll get to the point in the following post.

    About Maradona what I researched is the following:
    Argentinos Juniors: FK=20
    Barcelona: FK=5.
    Napoli: FK=25. IFK=1. OG= 1.
    Sevilla: FK=1.
    Argentina U-20: FK=1. IFK=2.
    Argentina NT: FK=4.
    Carrer Total: FK=61. IFK=3 OG=1.
    Symbology:
    FK= Free Kick
    IFK=Indirect Free Kick.
    OG= Olimpic Goal.
    Note: With El Napoli are the 14 goals of the series plus one vs Milan that is officially the own goal but that is clearly his goal and as other members of the list are also credited with goals like that (which hit the barrier) too I tell him.
    More 10 goals in Coppa Italia and not 11, since one goal vs Fiorentina is in open play.

    About Zico I have reviewed and discovered the following:
    Flamengo: FK= 35. OG=1.
    Udinese: FK= 9. IFK= 1.
    Kashima Antlers: FK= 11.
    Brasil NT: FK= 6.
    Carrer Total: FK=61. IFK=1. OG=1.
    Symbology:
    FK= Free Kick
    IFK=Indirect Free Kick.
    OG= Olimpic Goal.
    Note: The indirect goal with Udinese is VS Avellino in the defeat by 1-2 of 1983; This was the only one I could find in this way of all the videos I saw.
    The free kick goal VS The Carioca team does not count on Brazil because this is an unofficial friendly team and had already explained that this type of unofficial matches was not going to count since it is not part of the 48 goals if they are worth with Brazil.
    And finally the Olympic goal is VS Portuguesa in the state tournament of 1983; in a note he mentions that he put two in his entire career in this way but I have not been able to find the other so for the moment I only have proof of this Olympic goal.

    Messi with another one. I think the wall placement wasn't good but still, from that distance he hit the top 90. Incredible. Another one for the count. And a big one too.
