Remove the Arse players and put in Drogba and Essien.

I think I would slide in Drogba in place of Gerrard, but thats it. And maybe move Torres up.

I'd take out Adebayor, Fabregas and Gerrard, and replace them with Ferdinand, Joe Cole and Mascherano.

You could also say Drogbas and Makele look good via Lampard also. Thing to remember here is there is a huge difference between Chelsea Lampard and England Lampard.

Without Lampard in the team Chelsea look ordinary attacking wise, Ballack is the better player but he doesnt suit the Chelsea system which was built around Lampard by both Ranieri and Mourinhio. Any midfield player who can get more goals than a striker is a very valuble player.

Take Lampard out the chelsea team and the other stars dont look as good as they arent winning by the margins they would with Lampard in the team.

Yeah that last part is very true considering our latest game. No Lampard kills our attack.

Meh, Gerrard doesn't deserve to be in the top 5. Sowwy.

The last time he was seen imo, I believe he was getting all comfortable in Paul Scholes' pocket.

    Hope this helps.

Lampard is your attack and your team, you do realise the team is built around him... don't you?

Yes I believe that is what I stated. Our team is not just built around Lampard though. It is built around Lampard and Drogba. One of these two is likely to move this summer, and both are irreplaceable. I predict a down year next year unless we get Jose back.

We were fine during Lampard's injury...I don't think we should be worried about suffering in his absence.

You think that Ballack will still be as good next year? He's not exactly young anymore. And S***well is a joke. I am worried. Not only is Frank an important part of the team on the pitch, but he's an inspirational leader off it. Of course he's had his share of controversies, but everyone's human.

I don't think Ballack will be any worse next year.

If Chelsea lose Lampard or Drogba, they'll buy Villa or Diego or if they want a few more fans they'll get Ronaldinho.

I would take Diego or Villa, as they are the better 2 players, the 2 most suited to succeed in the Premiership, and the 2 cheapest.

    on current form [march 31st]:

    Ronaldo
Rooney [bizzarely nobody else has mentioned him on the last 2 pages??]
    Joe Cole
    Bentley
    Defoe

    this season:

    ronaldo
    hleb
    torres
    ferdinand
    fabregas

no fair, no room for rooney, james, essien, kranjcar, adebayor, gerrard, joe cole, cahill, elano, giggs, keane, carvalho etc. to be honest it's hard to pick just 5.

Have you even considered Mascherano...if he isnt in your top 5 he would surely be the 6th pick

Cahill, Kranjcar, Essien and Giggs aren't in contention for top 5 im sorry to say, nor is Elano really, great start to the season but hasn't done anything since Christmas.

And going off current form where is Torres?
