He has his good and bad points. Systems managers are the fashion right now and with a top starting 11 he could probably continue to get a lot of consistent results. . People think I am overly hard on him but the truth is in the results when he is challenged and things dont go smoothly. Pointed that out early and have been proven right.

Roma have players who arnt that comfortable including the keeper and when the option to clear it is on they will try to play it short leading to some stupid give aways. Napoli have better players for him and you already have a squad who are used to it under Sarri so i could see him have good success but the questions will still remain when you're pushed to find different solutions in a given game where the passing isnt cutting through teams. I dont think he will grow in this regard but of course he is still young, he could learn and I could be wrong.

Agent: ‘Elmas forced out of position’
    By Football Italia staff

Eljif Elmas’ agent says the Macedonia midfielder is forced out of position at Napoli, but insists he’s worth €40m.

Elmas scored the winner in Macedonia’s 2-1 win over Germany on Wednesday.

“It’s a great moment for Macedonia. They qualified for the Euros a few months ago, and now they beat Germany,” the player’s agent George Gardi told Punto Nuovo Sport Show.

“It’s surprising. Elmas and Pandev are national heroes now. Elmas feels he is becoming one of the leaders of the national team, he always put down great performances," the agent added.

Elmas, 21, has 35 appearances across all competitions with Napoli this season.

“He is a mezzala and he likes playing on the left,” his agent claimed.

“That’s the role he enjoys the most. He can play in many positions, but I don’t want his flexibility to become a disadvantage.

“How would other Napoli midfielders perform if deployed as wingers or full-backs?

“When Elmas joined Napoli there was a different coach. Now, he is forced out of position in a 4-2-3-1 system, even if he always puts down great performances.

“I think Napoli have a jewell. A young footballer, a leader of his national team who often scores goals. A player like him is worth €30-40m.”

How can you argue with that? He produces on the biggest stage.

All this agent wants to do is sell Elmas at the highest price possible so the agent can pocket a nice sum of money. These agents are death of football.

Elmas is still young and needs to develop his game. That he is forced to play in a different role will only help him become more rounded. He won't find better opportunities at a "bigger" club. How many times was Pandev loaned out in his early years while having never played for Inter until after his move to Lazio? Elmas should take stock of that before he listens to another word from his agent.

Baka still lost in a two man midfield. Always gets caught on the counter.

Maksimovic and Bakayoko need to go.

Manolas needs a few games but he is good.

What does Osimhen add. Does not look convincing.

Manolas is making Simy look good. Kosta is not match fit. Looks dazed. Osimhen needs time. Napoli looked ready to break on a good chance, but Victor was offside. I think he just needs time to work with his teammates because Mertens played a smart pass to Insigne and could have put real pressure on Crotone.

Meret's upfield pass is the only rationale behind why Gattuso prefers Ospina.

    Brilliant attempt by Insigne.

Where was this Napoli at the start of the half? Finally some good football.
