I know we've done this a lot. However, we never really updated any such lists throughout a season. Here's my first try: 1. Zenit St. Peterburg 2. Shakhtar Donetsk 3. Dynamo Kyiv 4. CSKA Moskva 5. Rubin Kazan 6. Dnipro Dnipropetrivsk 7. Spartak Nalchik 8. BATE Barisau 9. Metalist Kharkiv 10. Lokomotiv Moskva 11. FK Rostov 12. Dinamo Tbilisi 13. Tom Tomsk 14. Karpaty Lviv 15. Spartak Moskva 16. Dinamo Moskva 17. Terek Grozny 18. Arsenal Kyiv 19. Saturn Mosk. Obl. 20. Anzhi Makhachkala P.S. I really thought Vorskla should have been 20th but their season only started, while Anzhi had been very decent in the last 5-6 matches, Next week, however, if they achieve similar results, Vorskla will replace Anzhi What does everyone think of this table?
How do you put Spartak behind Loko? I like it, but Spartak is a CL side only 2 points back of Loko, and the defending runners-up, while Loko is a perennial disappointment.
For the RPL sides, this is based in a very large part on the RPL seasono, which has reached the equator. obviously, it is much harder to the current season for the UPL, so I looked at individual results more than the standings. Ultimately, this table is based on my opinion. I was hoping to solicit others' opinion on which teams they rank in the top 20 and where, not what everyone thinks of my top 20 list (even though, I am realizing, it is not apparent from my post).
Well, we already have a list based on European results called UEFA coefficients, so this would have to be based on domestic results to be different.
Yeah but thats over a span of 5 years and isn't the best rating system for judging which club is better than the other if you take a look at the formula
Since these clubs don't play each other and many of these do not even go to the UEFA competitions, all we've got is an opinion.
At least something like results vs the top teams in each division and for the top team results in europe
Kalynychenko starts once in a while. Most of the time he's a substitute. Secondly, didn't Spartak just go on a THREE game losing streak? (including a THRASHING they took from Alania) Besides, Dnipro are leading the UPL right now. Certainly not a bad start.
So Dnipro would be favored over Loko and Spartak over two legs ? Only you and some Ukrainian fans would think that.
Dnipro looks very impressive right now. Spartak and Loko look downright poor. In fact, Dynamo Kyiv might or might not be the favorites over Dnipro based on domestic form.
You know, they just might. Another thing is, in the unlikely event of Qarabag making it past Borussia, they should be there as well.
I catch a fair chunk of Russian and Ukrainian Premier League matches Would rather we split it into categories than who is individually better ----------- Zenit/Shakhtar ----------- CSKA/Dynamo Kiev/Rubin ---------- Dnipro Dnipropetrivsk/Loko/Spartak/Metalist Kharkiv/Nalchik/Rostov
