The USA soccer board is less influential on the sport than some other boards:
The Board at Disney ( runs abc.,espns)
    The board at Addidas.
    The board at Kelloggs.
    The board at Mars Candy.
The board at Mastercard (they gotta get some recognition for the best american soccer commercials, on top of their support).

Also, let's not forget, the judge (and was this a jury case)who gave the players $3 bucks, torched the prospect of free-agency in MLS, but probably kept the league alive for another few years.

Ha...i was going to add something about Dunkin' Donuts and all that, but decided that wouldn't be too nice. :) So, in a way, yes, pun intended.

I went through this kinda quickly, but did anyone mention Tommy or Seamus?

How about all 5 members of the original "Strike Force"--I see two there, what about McHead, Josh and Beas?

    Grant Wahl of SI?

and what about...MLS fans? I think someone said that earlier...

    Telemundo president?

    Taylor Twellman?

    Ray Hudson?

    wRongen?

    Debra Messing?

    Sigi?

just some names to throw out (and wait for people's reaction)

O.k., I forget, what was her connection again? IIRC, didn't she "host" the W.C. group selection in '94 or something? What am I thinking of?

I think the original poster was thinking of Marla Messing, who was the head of the Women's World Cup'99 host group. Not to be confused with the "Will and Grace" star Debra, although they are related (I believe they're cousins, someone please confirm/correct me on this), although Debra was present and participated at the WWC Draw in San Jose earlier that year.

This is a wonderful list... nice concept. Would think that it would be better served if someone could round up the tallies and post a forman "Top 100" out of it...

    Cheers,
    William

    Nice avatar...

Do you know where one might find "Sifl and Ollie" videos?

For the sake of continuity, I'll rank them at 99 and 100.

You are right. Sponsorship money matters. Cars are a huge influence. Since WC '94. Oldsmobile then..but Chevy has taken the reigns I think. Or is it Ford? i see the cars at events. They provide SUV's and vans to just about every soccer organization in existence. M&M Mars gets all of their cars through them in the partnership with the youth nationals.
