This isn't based on supporter opinion polls, but pure facts, like saves, tackles and dribbles made etc.

Interesting to see MH is the 3rd highest ranked GK, virtually tied for 2nd place with Lee Camp.

Excellent work. As a fan of Yanks Abroad, I certainly feel better about our guys. Where's Convey on the list? ;)

And Friedel is #85 on the EPL list!

too many injuries and did not dress or play for convey to warrant a ranking, i would guess

Look at their EPL ratings. Arjen Robben's 70? That's the Player of the Year candidate until his last (2) injuries.

Joe Cole at 89? Sammy Hyypia at 88? Steven Gerrard at 59?

    Puh-lease.....

Still... a bit more validation for Eddie Lewis, who as of about a month ago was leading the CCC in assists.

well, as he said, it is a statistically based ranking

Leading the league in assists is a more valid stat than the ones quoted.

Look, some stats do matter but these have little relevance if they have no more than a 50% coefficient with a player's market value as expressed in financial terms.

Perhaps missing a significant number of games depresses the rating?

shocking that cole made a top 100 after not playing at all for months, or that he wasn't higher after playing well when he finally broke through?

It's an interesting list, though usually sidwell is pretty high up in these rankings (often number 1) so that's a bit surprising. still, Reading, with kits, shorey, mh, ingamarsson, harper, murty, sidwell all in the top 75 is well represented.

Joe Cole is probably in the top 10-15 EPL players. Arjen Robben was called "better than Cruijff" by Tottenham's Dutch coach Martin Jol. Had he not missed the last 2 months, Robben might have won the Player of the Year. Might one drop him slightly due to his inability to stay healthy? Of course. But not from 1 to 70. That's way too much.

Best since Cryff was the quote but your point still stands.

I stand corrected. I have remembered Martin Jol's quote incorrectly.

Maybe the little guy's (Cole) propensity to b*tch cost him those 67-68 spots? I would put him light years behind Gerrard.

I noticed that Eddie did not make the list. I was tempted to write in, but was too busy searching for the next Cherno Samba in Football Manager. I am currently mastering the baby in one arm while cradling the laptop in the other in order to lead Hull FC to the Premiership.
