I am an avid college soccer fan. Of what I've seen thus far here is my top 10 with names that make each program on this rank.

    3. Wake Forest (Valentin, Phelan, Rein)
    4. SMU (Vasquez, Sandbo, Jones)
    5. Duke (Videira, Charowski, Wadsworth)
    6. South Florida (Jimenez, Hidalgo, Hernandez)
    7. Maryland (Edu, Reiman, King)
    8. UC Santa Barbara (Becerra, M Davis, Proctor)

Defenders don't get many props, and it's only been recently that Sasho even wanted to admit that Region 2 actually existed.

DSocc, I disagree slightly that defenders don't get any props. The players who go totally unnoticed when it comes to handing out awards and such, are the defensive midfielders. Those guys are so crucial, because they do all the dirty work, help their team earn a clean sheet, get banged up a lot, etc. It's really hard for those dudes to get numbers because they're ball winners, and they keep possession, but they don't get many assists or goals unless they're set pieces. D-mid's are like catchers in baseball...every team needs at least one good one or else. When I see end of season awards handed out for midfielders, it's almost always the A-mid or the guys who play on the flank because they compile stats.
