For WC14, this was my starting XI: Neuer Zabaleta-Medel-Hummels-Blind Mascherano-Kroos-Robben-James Messi-Neymar
Gk: Neur RB: LAHM Cb: Jerome Boateng Cb: Hummels Lb: Blind Cm: Kroos Cm:masherano Rm: Robben Lm:neymar cam: James st: messi Bench: cuadrado , muller , Thiago silva, persie, bravo , zabaleta, schweinsteiger.
Lahm was average as a right-back and also as a DM, he had a better tournament in WC10. I would place Zabaleta and Gamboa from Costa Rica ahead in the RB position. @jay luis
Thats because those bold players were the only players the team depended on. If they actually had a team and didn't depend on certain players. Those players would have gone much further!
They still left at the group stage, that means they shouldn't be in no all-tournament team. Costa Rica heavily depended on Navas, Gamboa, Borges and Ruiz performing highly, difference is they made it to the quarterfinals.
