    MEOLA UNDERGOES SUCCESSFUL SURGERY
Lower Abdominal Surgery from Strain Earlier In the Season

"Kansas City Wizards goalkeeper Tony Meola underwent successful surgery today to repair a lower abdominal strain suffered earlier in the season. Dr. Myers performed the procedure today in Philadelphia. Meola is
due back in Kansas City tomorrow afternoon where he will rest for three weeks before he starts rehabilitation.

Wizards Athletic Trainer Chet North commented, "Dr. Myers said that it was a very successful treatment and with Tony's aggressive attitude towards rehabilitation he should back very soon."

If he was hurt to the extent his play was affected, maybe he should have stepped aside for Bo.

Maybe so, that would explain at least two goals that we normally see him snag.
