why did milan get tomasson if they don't use him? he was the star of feyenoord and denmark national team. he already scored 2 goals for milan in his limited opportunity. how has he been playing so far? why he's warming up bench these days? release him to reggina if milan donesn't need him anymore.
It's what big clubs do. They can afford to have depth in case someone like Shevchenko is injured for a long period of time. Plus, I doubt Milan really thought they were going to have a chance in heck of signing Rivaldo back when they signed Tomasson on a free last season.
I don't think Tomasson will stay with Milan past this season. I think alot of Premiership clubs want him and Milan will sell him for the right price given that he came on a free transfer and anything they get will be consisdered a profit. Plus Milan have Borriello who is going to be a good player for the future and Kutuzov who is on loan. And there are reports that Milan will sign Dmitry Sychev in January and Fernando Torres sometime in the future. And let's not forget the real reason Tomasson is a bench player: Inzaghi, Shevchenko, and Rivaldo.
Add jose Mari to that players Milan will recall him form his loan to Atletico Madrid in december, I heard it today in the commentary of the Milan-Depor match.
I highly doubt Jose Mari will be called back in December. I still doubt he will be back at all. If Milan get a good offer for him then they will sell him. And I'm sure some Spanish club will want him if he keeps up scoring goals. We already know he can score goals in Spain but in Italy it hasn't been as easy for him.
