While searching for an update on Danny Barrera's trial with Derby County, I found mention of an American CB named Tom Reilly is also on trial with the club. Derby's side included three other triallists – Valentin Gjokaj, Danny Barrera and Tom Reilly.... Reilly is an American centre half.I am not sure who Reilly is, but there is a possibility it is this guy, who was actually born in England but may be an American citizen.

Appears to be the same guy. He was born in England and the Mosslands School that he attended prior to college is in England. Odd that an English club would refer to a guy who was born in and spent 17-18 years in England as American.
It is odd but not unprecedented. It may mean he is American somehow (through parentage, I guess) but other English clubs have got it wrong in the past, particularly whe the trialist was someone they didn't know much about before he arrived. Anyway, will be interesting to track.
