Disney Land Tokyo was nice ( I actually like Disney Land in Anaheim and Disney world in Orlando better)
But Tokyo Tower? I visited there and it is not worth going there.
    I rather not recommend that.

I can effortlessly mention at least 3 places that are more expensive: Switzerland, Iceland and Tahiti.

Thus I wonder what will they teach in the Japanese Studies departments at Stanford, Harvard and Cornell...

Do you have any suggestions for adults?

    Oh... I see...

Well, congratulation. You condensed quite a few wrong cliches about Japan in very few lines...

Why do you think he went to Harvard or Stanford or Cornell?

Actually, on the second one..I'm not sure he's too far off. I'm a pretty tall(6'4"), well-built white guy, and a lot of the girls in the club over there were clamoring to dance with me. I speak two words of Japanese (arigato, ashiteru-the latter I only know because my Mom told me that when I was a kid. Is Kirin a Japanese word?:D ) and said neither, and I dunno..it was shocking to receive so much attention.

    1. I would not use Roppongi girls as a stereotype for ALL Japanese girls.

    2. Kirin is an east African word meaning giraffe. Giraffes were brought to China in the early 15th century by the great Chinese explorer, admiral Zheng He. A different Chinese word for giraffe was then invented, but somehow the African word, "kirin," made it to Japan, and since then it's still used. So, well, yes, it is a Japanese word...

Glad you got to Asakusa...it's the the place in Tokyo I used to love to take my guests to since it communicates so much about what Tokyo is and was in a small space and time. The giant gate demons at the front have cpatured my thoughts since I was 6. There is a little kamameishi place there I love. The people in Asakusa are really nice, too.

    (Holy ---- --------- just OwnGoaled! I digress...)

Anyway, Tokyo is one of the globe's great cities. I think you did it justice in your short time.

Wasn't in Rappongi, I went to Kyoto, Asakusa (I wan't to go back there, I was so fascinated by it. I actually felt at peace), and the moutains in the north, which was one of the most serene places on earth. If I did not live in America, I'd choose Japan in a heartbeat.

Your knowledge of this word gets you rep. Hooray Beer!

    Roppongi is a litmus test.
It's always easy to tell who the clowns are when you hear them talk about it.

I am a big Kyoto fan (not only Sanga, city as well); however, I believe Tokyo deserves a visit.

Other places I liked in Japan are Sendai (+Matsushima), Miyajima (island just off Hiroshima), Nagasaki and Kagoshima.

For nightlife you CAN'T beat Osaka. Every weekday is a party.
