Looking more and more like the Australia game, only with an opponent who really wants to win. So many bad passes and decisions in midfield.
Just like a couple of matches ago, the scenery shot for a promotion for the halftime show left live play.
Way too many giveaways in the middle, and we need to do better in the offensive third as well. Canada is disciplined defensively; it'll take more than hopeful passes/crosses.
Didn't hear any yells to warn Sauerbrunn that she had a player coming up behind her to dispossess her.
Did Sauerbrunn think she was just going to dribble well into the offensive half and that that would be ok? What are some of these players doing?
I am predicting a US victory...If the game does not go to the penalty shootout... I am unwilling to predict a US victory in a penalty shootout...Canada could win a penalty shootout... I did watch some EURO 2021 games...Switzerland beat France in a penalty shootout...I think that we could easily argue that France had a more talented team... I am watching the game on Telemundo...Andres Cantor is on...If your cable TV connection is bad, you should turn on your local Telemundo channel...
They were all presenting and waiting for her to make the simple pass instead of dribbling into a turnover for no reason.
Yeah, which means they saw the player coming and didn't yell a warning. That's a pretty basic thing. I'm not arguing Sauerbrunn made the right decision, but I think that lack of communication might be symbolic of something.
Good opening 15 minutes, but that's about it. Well, Franch wasn't even tested once, so that's probably a positive, but this game is awful.
At this point, it's not about who's starting or will be subbed. It's playing a simple pass, controlling the ball without heavy touches, making runs off the ball...the basics.
