He is 45 years old today. Happy Birthday man. 45 and still going strong. The Cure are going to be on The Tonight Show on April 30 - debuting a new single.
Awww, I loved the Cure. Man, they were so good. This was always one of my favoritest songs ever! It always made me so happy when I was sad. i don't care if monday's blue tuesday's grey and wednesday too thursday I don't care about you it's friday i'm in love monday you can fall apart tuesday wednesday break my heart thursday doesn't even start it's friday i'm in love saturday wait and sunday always comes too late but friday never hesitate... i don't care if monday's black tuesday wednesday heart attack thursday never looking back it's friday i'm in love monday you can hold your head tuesday wednesday stay in bed or thursday watch the walls instead it's friday i'm in love saturday wait and sunday always comes too late but friday never hesitate... dressed up to the eyes it's a wonderful surprise to see your shoes and your spirits rise throwing out your frown and just smiling at the sound and as sleek as a shriek spinning round and round always take a big bite it's such a gorgeous sight to see you in the middle of the night you can never get enough enough of this stuff it's friday i'm in love I don't think I've heard any other Cure songs, though. Did they even put any other songs out ever?
Friday I'm in love is one of my least favorite Cure songs, but it does remind me of a cute girl I knew in high school, so it can't be all bad. Always more into the boys don't cry/close to me/catch kinda tunes. I almost returned my HP printer for stealing 'pictures of you' for their ad. Uggh. Happy B-day man, and thanks for kicking Barbara Streisand's ass that one time.
Northside Rovers: Quick question. Assuming that you go to Burn games, did you ever get a Robert Smith song going around the section? (I'm not sure if you sit with the burn supporter peeps (burn victims?) Like, Letter to Ariel or something? Maybe "strange attraction" is a better fit for Dallas fans? If not, that's your goal for this season. In honor of his birthday, I'm drumming out "Fascination Street" on Sunday at the Metro-Revs game.
I sit with the Inferno - usually a few rows up from El Jefe. You know the Cure even have a song called "Burn" - they wrote for The Crow. We don't get a whole lot of singing going - except for maybe a "culero" chant which has kind of a nice ring to it.
