At 0:12 seconds [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k29wBfLmNP0#t=12"]YouTube- Landon Donovan's goal against Algeria - 2010 World Cup[/ame] The funng thing is they don't even look Algerian - probably Pakistani. I don't know what they're so upset about!
Is it just me or in that picture do they kind of look like they aren't even there but in front of a green screen? It's a conspiracy or something!!!
What is the problem with people being disappointed we scored? Obviously they weren't supporting the US, I don't get how they're "douchebags." We'd have been disappointed if Algeria scored, and I'm sure a lot of us wouldn't be too happy to have people laughing at us if we lost the game (especially if they used a "lol cat", and worse, with a misspelling). Just saying.
They were filming a new movie... Harold and Kumar escape from South Africa (apologizing to the super sensitive types in advance)
Yeah, if they're not US fans then I don't get why they'd be douchebags for being upset either. I did get the feeling though that some of the Algerians were upset simply because they didn't manage to "take the US with them" on their way out of the World Cup (because they sure as hell must of known they weren't going thru at 92+ minutes, especially the way they'd been playing and with a 3 goal swing or whatever). But for fans of the other team to be upset, well that's just normal really...
My point was that even the neutral South Africans were cheering and going nuts. They look someone just killed their dog. If I'm watching a game as a neutral, I'll at least clap or smile when a goal is scored. I don't know...maybe they just lost a bet.
There is a parallel universe style thread on the Slovenian board titled "To the douchebag who yelled "What is going ON!" after our 2nd goal." Indianapolis represent!!
haha, I actually thought the same of those two fools in the, by now, millions of times that I've watched the goal replay at the end of the day, you have a right to cheer for who you want to, of course. however, I can't lie and say that I don't want to punch a hole through each of their toolish-looking heads.
