Per this comment in the St John's thread:

Dude, I have refrained from weighing in on any of your posts, but you are absurd, preposterous and downright a shell of a man/boy. Never, in my life, have I marveled more that someone has not managed to get himself killed during the course of some twenty odd years on earth (give or take a couple). You are the type of idiot who tries to kill a fish by drowning it.

Please, get over the faux-hooligan obsession and begin to live in some form of reality. Oh, and please try to cut back your daily posts to 25 a day and pick up a hobby, say masturbation for instance.

With all due respect, I agree 100%. It's not just the incredibly stupid comments about how he thinks holiganism is cool. It's not the average 12.97 posts a day. It's not the fact that your scarf was upside down, or the fact you consistantly complain about metro jerseys being too small. It's not the fact that about 5% of your posts consist just of a smiley face.

To me, you're that kid who I had to deal with in High School. I hated that kid. The kind that stuck on to people. Don't get me wrong, there was a time and place for you. If we needed a guy to play soccer, we called you. And you were more than welcome to hang with us afterwards. But this has gotten out of hand.

There are some posters on the board, that when I see that they have posted, I click on that thread. Insightful, witty, thought-out posts. Part of the reason I rarely post on here is because I'm afraid I'll become you one day(i've posted 312 times in over 3 years, you could probably match that number in a few weeks). There's no doubt in my mind that you're a soccer fanatic. And thats great, but you need to use your fanatics for good.

So dude, it's a long off season. Don't make me lose my mind reading this site. I've been here since 99. I remember when my favorite team was "MetroSucks". I remember when I fell for the metrofan.com april fools joke.

Anyway man, never lose your passion for the game, just take some time off from the computer. Get a job, so you can buy a car and get to metro games next year. It'll be worth it.

I’m not here to bash you or tear you a new a$$hole, but to educate you....first, being a college boy as you say you are, you do realize the most important impression is the first. After reading the dribble you pollute Big Soccer with, do you want to know what honestly I, and a lot of people, think of you?
1.You are an ignorant, sophomoric jackass that obviously hasn't live a day outside your parents control. You also seem to have live a sheltered life where you only learned about life through the television set or what you were told in your house and you never questioned if it was true or not.
2.Another aspect I noticed is that you only learned of the sport of soccer within the past 2 years, you immersed yourself into the sport (reading mostly English media but not played or experienced anything related to the game prior to this time). In reality, you have no clue what this sport is about but you use this "knowledge" to mask you obvious ignorance and to try to impress others who know even less than you.
3.You also try to sound sophisticated by using "euroesque" language as wanker, pitch, etc. Not only does this prove what my previous point, it just make you look like a fool when you constantly use this language in front of American soccer fans, but infuriate the fans whose origins are from European countries.
My point is that what you post on these message boards directly correlate with what people will think of you in person. If you remained anonymous and just let people know just "NYRMetros" that's one thing, but when you not only let people know proudly who you are, but make a spectacle of yourself along the way, you really ruin any chance of people taking you seriously. For example take what you posted about the Polish in 101. You think that just because they cheer for the same team (which they don't, they were there to see the Polish player who's coming) all is well. In fact, you do not know about the history of trouble with their kind in the past, and that it may repeat itself if that element continues to remain in 101(ask any of the members who were with the ESC since the start in 96). People point out this ignorance to you, yet you come off as a person who thinks that they are joking. I'm sure if you ever go and say what you wrote to them face-to-face, not only would you hear what they wrote, but also you may find your self in a serious situation.
Now I agree with all that was stated before, but I also find you’re a lot more annoying, and the fact that I was nice to you seem to think I will give you the time of day another time. I truly cannot stand to be even near you, or affiliated with the same organization with you, but I have no choice.

How many different threads have been started by Meto fans talking about what a jackass NYR Metros is? That's something else right there. I personally think he's incrediably annoying too and can't imagine how one turns oneself into a fake British Hooligan, even if they're just playing one on the internet. And even that doesn't appear to be the case... just unbelievable.

No, it was the ethnic connection you made, and the words 'their kind', which never, ever, ever look good, no matter who you're talking about. It honestly doesn't matter that I have a bit of Polish blood myself, but there are, no doubt, lots of Metro supporters on and off the boards (North Jersey/NYC can't be far behind Warsaw and Chicago as far as Polish populations go) who do as well and would take offense.

People who think that NYR Metros is an annoying twit should do the following:

    1. Become a BigSoccer.com Premium Member for $30.
    2. Add NYR Metros to your ignore list.

    It works wonders.

NYR Metros makes me laugh. If you got all this time to complain about someone on these boards you take these boards far too seriously. I'd rather read one of his short annoying posts rather than some of the books people write on here.

Sometimes he annoys me too......so do most people......Does it really upset you that much??? Or more likely you are just some bully who assumed he would be easy to pick on...

If he went after you that would be one thing.....but, it is crappy to just lay into someone for no other reason that his typing bothers you....

I didn't say All his posts were annoying I just said "I'd rather read one of his short annoying posts than SOME of the books people write on here" and let me add a lot of the books don't have much to say. Saying he makes me laugh is not a bad thing. Sometimes I forget you can't pick up the tone of how I say things in posts.

Guys, let's not run an enthusiastic poster out of town. Some of the suggestions could work better as a pm, not a public post. And if you need to blow off steam about it, well, try to keep polite about it.

By the way, whoever the hell David Brent (because I'm pretty sure it's not the fictional character of the same name) seems to think we've all been suckered by NYR Metros. If that's true, which I don't think it is, it's been a long, boring, mean-spirited, unfunny joke, and the perpetrator must just take joy in trying to ruin other people's fun. Good times.

But lots of pictures of fish certainly add a lot to the discussion. And making the same joke five times in one thread adds a lot, too.

Now, I am not a big Metros fan so I don't end up reading all of NYRMetros posts, so I haven't seen all of his comments, but I find him just plain annoying. I happen to collect soccer jerseys, so I am interested when I see a thread about jerseys. Every time I go to these threads NYR has already posted like 30 times about trying to find an XL and about how a certain company has XLs that are different from others. It's freaking annoying to have to wade through that to find out what I really want to know. Though I appreciate his enthusiasm for the game it is also a bit annoying the way he hits threads from every team around the world (so it seems) talking like he is a fan of that team...and wanting an XL jersey! Anyway on to more inmportant Metros stuff...Matt you stopped updating us on the soap opera that is your office! Why????
